So my dad has 5 gold fish in a 20 gallon tank and its starting to get dirty but i'm worried about one of the fish, its getting really fat and his scales are poking out instead of being smooth over his body, what does this mean? i don't like the look of it at all.

I want either a miniature pincer, a brussels griffon, or a rat terrier. wich of these dogs would be best for a medium-ish house with small backyard. if not one of these, what breed of dog (miniature or toy) would you sudgest

I've recently set up a website aimed at getting some kitties that live on the street near my place into homes. It has live streaming video of the kitties needing homes at night, and my kitties in the day. For awhile I was getting a good response, but now it's quietened down, and I need to figure out how to get it happening again as I've already taken 3 months off work for the project and really need to get some of these kitties into forever homes! Ideas?? It's for a good cause...I"m paying for the desexing, vaccinations, aids & FelV testing etc.... the site is http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
Please don't post negative things like bringing them to a shelter...I am rehoming them whether you like it or not! And the rescue groups have helped as much as they can.
I have already adopted 8 myself, and really need help with the other 12!

She is the only one in the tank and has been for quite a while. How long does it take for them to lay eggs and for the eggs to hatch.
AAAGGGGGG! I'm so confused. Thanks for all the answers though.

So, a family friend of ours has 4 boxer puppies for sale for $450 each. However, she said I could get whatever puppy I wanted, for only $350. I want the runt of the little, she is a light brown and a fighter. I'm in college right now, in the dorms, but my boyfriend and I will be getting a place come January. By the way, the puppies will b ready for new homes on x-mas. I've had a puppy before, and I know I can take care of it, but for some reason she just isn't going for it. What do I do?!

I bought a 6 week old Great Dane puppy, however she was the runt of the litter. Her mom and dad were HUGE, and I would love for her to grow to that size. Does anyone know if she stands a chance to be that big, or do runts typically have a lower growth rate? Also I have owned young Dane's before and I don't remember them being this small at 6 weeks. Thoughts?

I have grown so attached to my dog and vise versa. He is the most important thing in my family's life. One thing that worries me is his constant separation anxiety with me only. Whenever I go for a short 3 day vacation or just to the mall with some friends he freaks out. He barks, cries and occasionally will soil our carpet. I'm very worried about when I go to college next year. I have a friend whose dog did the same and once she got a second dog he completely stopped because he was not alone. Please help me think of reasons to why this would work for us.

I have a male and femal parakeet. They are about 6 years old now. How come my female never layed eggs. I mean they are in love (they makeout, feed eachother, snuggle and flirt) but they do everything except for the actual mating. Why is this?

Crate training a dog is recommended by just about any animal expert, I know. But when we got our dog (large, 85 pounds, spayed female), she was so easy to potty-train that we didn't crate train her (which was our first mistake). Now my partner and I are beginning to work full time (we got her whilst in college, our second mistake) and we find we must leave her alone during the day (we are gone 8-5). The trouble is, she's 2 years old now, and she's simply enormous, and doesn't fit in any of the crates available at our local pet stores! Well, she fits, but I'm afraid it will be too small for her, because she can't sprawl out like she could when she was a puppy. She doesn't like the change in routine and has begun to be destructive when we leave her alone, something she didn't do when we were home more often because we were in school. Will she be okay in the small-ish crate? Can we make her more happy at home without the crate? Should we leave her outside? Or confine her to one room?

he is only 1 and a half years old and i cried for so many years to get a rabbit after my first one died. it would be horrible if he died because he means the world to me. i have had depression and as soon as i got him i started to be more alive and found out a side i didn't know before. i am really lucky to have him and nothing can ever replace him. i could go on and on about him and how good and smart he is but i would be able to fit it all!! he gets a healthy diet including hay, lettuce, carrots. he lives in a clean big enviroment and is out of his cage 15 hours a day. lately, he has been just staying in my bedroom and sitting a corner. i put some pellets out for him and he baraly ate them which is really weird for him. he is also being really lathargic which scares me because before my last rabbit died, he was lathargic. i am really scared that he is sick. anything like this ever happen to your rabbit. can i take his temperature?? thank you so much (sorry it is so long!)
