Usually 2 male betta's will. They may fight to the death. A male and a female should be safe together or 2 females. The males are the prettier ones (with the big fins and the bright colors).

the actually way you could keep more desirable than one is by using protecting a minimum of three lady bettas in a minimum of a ten gallon tank. 2 women will likely wrestle, so will 2 adult males, as well as a male and lady at the same time. So both 3+ women, or a unmarried betta. For one, a 5 gallon filtered and heated will be fantastic. Silk and genuine vegetation paintings properly. As for genuine vegetation, java ferns and hornwort are reliable first of all. Java ferns are low gentle/low upkeep, and hornwort grows fairly quick so that you do not want to purchase a lot. The tank ought to stay at seventy 8-80 2 tiers F. ensure that you do get some water conditioner. you also want betta pellets (feed about 3 an afternoon) and also you'll get bloodworms and brineshrimp for treats. they could stay for countless years. you ought to do partial water transformations with a gravel siphon a week. they are very at risk of fin rot, so protecting with water transformations is major. study the nitrogen cycle in tanks.

It all depends on the size of the tank they are in. If its a small fish bowl they will fight it out until one dies. If its a big tank like mine then not so much I have 6 male fighting fish in my tank and they get along fine because there is room for them to have thier own territory.

Yes,
Two males will fight each other to the death.
Females are not as aggressive but have been known to fight if their in a small bowl.
A male and a female might not fight, but should be supervised when placed together. If the male is overly aggressive or territorial he will attack the female.

yes male bettas will fight. Its not nice to put them together. You can however, house them with other types of fish. I keep one betta in my 55 gallon goldfish community aquarium and he is just as happy as can be.
