I have a hamster and he's losing hair, pink, and dry-skinned. Should I get another hamster when he dies? I'm not sure exactly how old he is, but I have had him for almost 2 years.

If you are lonely when your old hamster passes out then yes. If it will bring back sad memories of when your old hamster died then no. It depends on how you would feel about it.

in case you do evaluate getting yet another hamster, have a glance on your section for a breeder. puppy talk board + fancy rat talk board have many individuals who breed hamsters it will be properly worth you having a go searching at rats, they're as cute as hamsters, stay slightly longer and are very sensible. the significant vast difference is a rat will follow you round and decide to sit down with you, while a hamster will ask your self (and fall) off at its personal accord Rats are quite sociable and pleasant and adore human contact, definately a spouse yet, continuously bypass to a good breeder

I have a hamster and his name is Teddy. Hamsters life expectancy is about 2years. My hamster is getting up there in age and I am not going to get another one after he passes. He is the greatest little guy and there is no other that could ever replace him.
