There are pros/cons to either...If you buy an adult from a previous owner, they are (hopefully) already on a set feeding schedule and are hand-trained...but if you get a baby, you get to do that yourself! It all depends on what you want, what you can do,and how much time you have to put into it =)

I've been bitten by way of a child corn snake, I did not even recognize what occurred until I occurred to seem down and it used to be caught to my finger. An grownup has a tendency to be extra situated, you do not ought to move by way of the fear of whether or not or no longer your snake will live to tell the tale (failure to thrive, non feedings, and so on. as a child). Now I am no longer announcing that a few of that stuff could not occur to an grownup, however as I mentioned an grownup is extra situated. Depending wherein you get an grownup, they have a tendency to be extra socialized for the reason that they have got made it that some distance. I suggest a reptile exhibit or a breeder that you'll touch and notice how the inventory appears. I met my cornsnake's breeder and he permit me keep a couple of of them earlier than I made my resolution.

i think it is better to get a pet from when it is a baby. since corn snakes live for about 10-15 years then i would get a baby but if you were to get a adult it won't live as long and if it had a bad past it might bite any human it sees. when you have a baby it won't have any bad memories because it hasn't been alive long and so it might become your best friend.

Baby reptiles can be delicate. If you are a beginner, it might be better to get an adult. Talk to the breeder about it.

I would choose an older one. At least the size to eat fuzzies. You have more chances of it dying if you get it too small. Plus, cornsnakes are masters of escape, so the bigger the less danger of it getting away. Before buying it make sure it eats well. An older cornsanke will not be harder to tame.

It's a matter of personal preference. Pick one that is healthy, eating well, and not snappy whatever age you choose.

A baby. It'll adjust in your house as it grows big. It'll start liking you faster and it'll not bite you as it's fangs are not fully developed yet.
