Boy kitties are generally larger the the girl kitties.
Has he been fixed yet? He will not be so dominant once he has lost his manhood.
1cup a day for each cat is enough. Trying putting the females bowl in a different spot and make sure that the boy doesn't get to it.
I feed mine in the morning. Feed them only one time a day or a 1/2 a cup per Kittie 2 times a day. IAMS has the best regiment printed on the back of their bags.
Good luck and take care!

Cat's aren't like dogs - they don't gorge themselves in one sitting. That is good news - once you've fed Mr. Cat, Ms. Kitty will come by for some food too. That is, unless the male chases the female away from the food. If that happens, you need two feed bowls (one in a place where Ms. Kitty likes to hang out).

First and foremost, you need to fix the cats if they aren't yet.

What i do is set out what they both would normally eat and usually they both wont over eat. If one happens to eat more than the other then you will notice the other cat has lost some weight within a day if this is the case then you will have to feed them in diffrent rooms in the morning or at night whenever you are available to.

Fill a bowl for each cat and feed them in separate areas so that the male won't eat the female's food, or vice verso.

I have one female and four males, and I sometimes have to do this.

I have 5 cats, Casper and coco are males and I feed them
urinary tract pH balance food, because males cats are more
likely to get urinary blockage than females. Sammy a male
is on reduced Science diet, and Sasha and Petunia females
are on Wiskas, all the different foods are kibbles. What
I do, I put Sammy in his cage to eat his diet food, and the
other four eat their specific food, no problem. When the
four are finished eating, I take Sammy out of his cage.

I'm in a similar spot: The two younger (and more rambunctious!) cats weigh at least twice as much as the oldest, who needs to put on weight. So I have to guard the older cat while she's eating, or put her and her food bowl in a room alone and close the door so the others will leave her alone.

If you are going to follow txlady's advice, be sure to right the names of each cat on the seperate bowls so as not to confuse them.

Cats can and do work this out-I leave a whole bowl down for my 2 kitties all day long. They each nibble all day long at different times and together. It works out.

Get individual bowls for each one and set them apart so that they won't fight over food.
