If the cat was outside it could be anything. poison, blockage, disease. He needs to get to a vet asap. in the mean time keep him warm and hydrated. use an eye dropper, syringe or just a wet clean paper towel and drip water into his mouth. better to take him to an emergency vet if you have one.good luck....

could be feline leukemia, it is fatal. He sounds really sick. Cats get that from other infected cats. They can harbor it in their bodies for a long time without symptoms. Stress often brings it out. Defiantly get him to the vet. There is no cure for it, so be prepared for the worst and pray for the Best. I had a cat that had it. I had her spade. And she was doing good. Until a car hit her. I have a kitten in desperate need of a home. He was thrown from a car. And had a hole as big as a tennis ball in his neck. I had to spend alot to get him well. But he is a great kitten. Approximately 5 months. Inside only though. His name is Carley. I sure wish you luck. Let me know if you get good news. Or bad, I'll say a prayer for ya.
God Bless

Sounds like the poor thing might have been poisoned. Could be snake bite. But what happens a lot is a mouse or rat will eat poison. Then the rodent is slow and the cat gets it and eats it and gets poisoned also. Best wishes.

I agree with the person above me. My family has had six cats but they have all been indoors. But I do know that it can be anything! You should get him to a vet very quickly and make sure he is on shots and medication just so he can feel better and so it isn't contagious to humans. Good luck to you and your cat as well!

It does sound like your kitty has been poisoned. It could be that he ingested antifreeze.

Definitely get him to a vet immediately.

Take your kitty to ER. No time to lose. It sounds bad, whatever it is. When kitty is well, keep him indoors and let him out only when you can supervise him. Don't allow him to roam by himself.
