Just holding his paws gently, he yelps like you are trying to kill him and runs away. I've been trying to work with him everyday, just rubbing his paws, not holding them, but he still runs away. What can we do? He's a mix, and about 1 year old, 40 pounds. We don't know anything about his past.

Does anyone know of a good breeder that has puppies at the moment. We're happy to pay but can't afford the £550+ mark that most seem to charge.

We'll be good parents as we used to foster for the local animal welfare place.

We want a puppy as we have cats that would be a bit freaked straight off by a full grown dog but have been fine with the mother in law's yorkie.

I have never heard of this until recently...of course it's $250/cat (anethsesia, mostly) which I don't mind paying if it's needed, but it's going to be $1000 for all four of them. Will this cause problems if I don't do it? How often does it need to be done? Are there things I can do that will help their teeth, other than dry cat food?

I bought a brand new tank for my two fantail goldfish.. they had been in it for a couple of weeks and were absolutely fine so I bought 2 smaller fantails to join them. After a couple of days I found one of the new fish kind of stuck to the filter and it died later on that day. The others still seemed perfectly fine. Two days later I found the second new fish stuck to the filter.. i turned the filter off and he swam away but went back later on an found him stuck to it again and he died.

I covered up the filter nozel as best I could to stop the fish going near it but two days later I have found one of my original fantails floating on the surface struggling for breath with his tail pulled apart (it was immaculate yesterday). The last fish is fine (touch wood) but I really don't know what's going on.. I didn't think the fish could get to the filter but still managed to be injured. I've had to uncover the filter nozel as the tank is not cleaning properly without it.

i have a tabby cat and he weighs about 20 or 21 pounds. we wanna make him weigh at least 16-14 pounds or somthin. he hardly plays bc he doesnt have anyone to play with since i am at school the whole day and everyone else is at work. i play with him wen i get bak from school sometimes like at 3 or 3:30 but its not for long bc sometimes he just doesnt wanna play anymore. i want him to be more active. he also eats alot altho we've been cutting down how much food we give him and we're gonna buy him diet food next week. but i also want him to be more active so wat can i do to get him play more by himself during the day while no one is home?? or to make him lose some weight at least. thnx!!!!

my kitten ( 9 ) months came in heat around 12-1-06 for the 1st time it lasted about a week. now it is 12-15-06 and she is acting like she is in heat again why is this? and how often do cats come into heat and how long does it last . thank you
