What is the cause and what is the best way to treat it? And will it spread to my other fish?

Some basic information about my tank...it is 55 gallon, fresh water tropical. It has 15 tiger barbs (recently introduced about a week ago), 13 glow light tetras, 2 male platys, 10 female platys, 1 leopord pleco, 2 rainbow sharks, 2 african dwarf frogs and one red spotted shrimp and one dwarf powder blue gourami. Partial water change done 2 days ago, and is usually done every 2 weeks. flakes are fed in the morning, frozen feds at night. Usually tank is very clean as pleco eats all leftover food.

Just treated the tank for ick, i believe the tiger barbs broughgt it in, now it appears they have swim bladder problems. Have never personally dealt with swim bladder, please help. Have already lost one in the night

I am not allowed to have a dog or cat. I can get a small pet that is fun. I really don't like reptiles so do not suggest it. If you do answer this question please tell me something about the pet. And also do not suggest fish or a bird.

I have 4 full blooded red nose pit puppies that almost ready to be sold. I want to know how much to ask for them. The dad has papers, and we could get papers on the mom, but never did, so the puppies don't have any,

Two weeks ago, my 9-year-old goldfish died. It was very upsetting, but I'm ready to get some new fish.

I've got a 6-gallon tank, and I'd like to get some new, pretty fish for it. I only want freshwater fish, and preferably some that have a bit of hardiness to them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of fish to buy/how many? Also, what should I look for when picking them out at the petstore--liveliness, etc?

3 cats + 4 very playful kittens + 2 dogs (one whose nickname is the destoyer) = no Christmas Tree and little decor at my house. All animals were abandoned so losing any rescued pet is NOT an option.

They were brought into our local shelter from another person fostering them, but she wanted them out of her house. They are 6 weeks old, and the mom keeps hissing at them. I haven't seen her feed them. She may be stressed because of a new situation, but I'm wondering if I should separate her from the kittens. The kittens were filthy, I cleaned them all up, and even the mom is dirty. Has anyone ever seen a situation like this before?

First off, I would really appreciate answers vs. insults for curiosity, and I'm asking for answers from people that know, not people that'll have to do a search to find out why a dog should be spayed/neutered.
Why is it that all dogs, even perfectly healthy ones *purebreds included* are recommended to be spayed/neutered? A lot of times I've noticed that you don't even get to make the choice for your dog unless you go to a place that's not so great to buy a puppy *BYBs or petshops* where everyone says these sub-par pups should be sterilized and only top-notch purebreds should be left intact to be bred, but the pups sold to most anybody *breeders trying to break into the biz included* have a spay/neuter contract attached. i understand overpopulation, so let's not go there.
What I want to know what are the risks to a dog if it it left unaltered? Are they like ferrets where if the female isn't fixed and isn't bred there are problems or what? Thanks.

I just got one of those laser pointers for the cats to chase, its funny and they seem to love it, but then after i put it away, they act all cracked out for like half an hour, like darting thier heads around like they are still looking for the dot.
Do you think this thing is going to drive them crazy or something?

i mean some people see a poor starving bum and they will look the other way. if this bum was being beaten not many would stop it from happening? i have seen children starving living on the streets no one would give them the time of day but if someone beats a dog like a chihuahua they ask for the person to be killed or locked away for good. i do not support animal abuse at all but feel the value of human life is greater than any animal or pet. the second part of my question is why do people spoil there pets when there are people who are in greater need of help. now i want serious answers only please.

For the past few days, our cat has become sick, she is VERY lathargic, only sleeping, or laying down, seems very weak when she does try to walk around, and looks sick just by the look of her face. We don't think she is eating as much, although we haven't been home much and we have another cat, so it's hard to tell. She hasn't thrown up, and there are no other symptoms. What could be going on, someone who has real experience or is a vet please! Thanks!

I recently moved back in with my mom and she has a female Shih-Tzu about 5 years old that despises cats. Well, while I was living with my dad I got a female tabby cat and she is almost a year old now and moved her with me. The cat acts defensive around the dog and the dog likes to chase her around. I just wish they could get along. Please help me. Thanks!

The dog is about 8 years old (not quite sure, he was a stray we found). What is the best way to get the dog to go back to eating from his food, from his own bowl?
