We recently adopted a 3 year old persian/tortoishell and her face is so pushed in... We've been feeding her canned food, because she really enjoys it, but a lot of times, her face gets really messy and we have to clean it up. Her right eye has always looked bad- in the begining, it was sort of fogged over, and now she won't open it, and stuff is oozing out of it [we've been cleaning it up] but we are going to be sure to take her to the vet, so no worries- I was just wondering, are there any home remedies/things we should to do help her in the mean time?

His undershell is a yellow-ish translucent color. He doesn't eat like he used to and doesn't really swim around in his home.

She's about 10 years old and we recently changed her to a "seniors" cat food. She's got a couple scabby places on her neck (she's a long hair) and she just had an "Accident" in the kitchen and she's never not used her litter box before..

Why the hell would you have a snake as a pet? Their not cuddily soft of playful. They sit there in a glass aquarium smell, and eat rats all day. And also, theres always the risk of strangulation if you have a large snake, whenever you take it out to play with it, or it somehow gets out of the aquarium.
Any reptile/snake lovers out there? if so, explain to me why in God's name you would like a snake as a household pet ..

I have 3 kids, 6, 4 and almost 2. Our neighbor's dog just had puppies and my two oldest kids want one so badly but I'm having a hard time deciding whether this is the right time. I am home during the day so the puppy would get a lot of attention. My concern is really over the baby's age and if she's ready to learn how to treat a dog kindly. Thanks for any input.

Okay my pugs name is Lulu and she always ends up in the cat litter box.When shes out she has cat poop in her mouth. Also if my little sister leaves a tissue on a table Lulu ends up eating it. Any Ideas to make her stop???

I mean, deliberately creating a mongrel then mashing the name of the parents together and calling it a 'designer dog'. There is no thought to combining the best of a breed. Just what looks cute. At a cheaper price with no papers, no akc health clearance and apparently no thought, because it seems to be exclusively small or toy breeds. I mean you dont hear of 'daneweilers' or 'doberstiffs' do you. It just makes me so mad because its not quality its saleabilty.

I have a male and female parakeet, Danny and Cleo. This morning i looked in the cage and i noticed that Danny had a drop of dried blood on his cere by the little hole thing. Theres also a drop of dried blood on the perches. Does anyone know why he is bleeding and what can i do? Do you think that Cleo and him got in a pecking fight? (they do this often), but they also really love eachother. Danny doesnt seem like hes in pain and he seems really happy. Please help!

That up and coming breed that is large and exotic, and according to the breeder I met at a pet market today has Chinese Leopard Cat in the mix. If the info I'm going on is current, I think it's only in it's 4th/5th generation of being domesticated, but she swore they are great pets whereas I can swear I've heard otherwise about all the exotic cat "breeds"
So what's the truth? I'd preffer answers to be from personal experience and not what you've researched on the web, because most of what you read is mostly opinion passed as fact. In other words, if you've owned on or had close contact with a bengal, feel free to share, but if you haven't and have only heard the hype *good or bad, it's still just hype* please, hold your tongue.
