Does anyone know of a good breeder that has puppies at the moment. We're happy to pay but can't afford the £550+ mark that most seem to charge.

We'll be good parents as we used to foster for the local animal welfare place.

We want a puppy as we have cats that would be a bit freaked straight off by a full grown dog but have been fine with the mother in law's yorkie.

I'm aware there is a market rate and am obviously prepared to pay. However there are puppies that are selling for less than £500 and so I'm interested in this information. I've looked at lots of websites but I would like word of mouth information as well about breeders that are reputable and not puppy farmers.

If you want to tell me that I have to pay the going rate please don't worry about answering, there is not much point and it's not helpful.

Thanks

Best place to start looking is the breed club:

Reputable breeders will charge the going rate. You may get a cheaper puppy but in the long run it could well cost you more in vet bills & heartache.

They'd seem some sort of GSP. WHY? The Weimaraner silver-gray coat is an highly recessive color to all others, so when transfer-bred other breeds the extra dominant colours are in most cases expressed. The silver-gray Weimaraner comprises a liver gene & a dilution element. A blue Weim (a extra dominant color than the liver) consists of a BLACK gene, plus the dilution element. A silver grey which is relatively (the liver gene+dilution aspect) bred to a brown or brown & white seen GSP, will produce brown or brown seen puppies. The AKC breed common for GSP says..."The coat is also of powerful liver or a blend of liver and white similar to liver and white ticked, liver patched and white ticked, or liver roan. A canine with any area of black, crimson, orange, lemon or tan, or a dog strong white might be disqualified." however such colours if inside the GSP's genes, would have an effect on the final color(s) expressed.

I am not sure of any breeders in England. I do know of a couple websites that you may be able to locate a breeder in England or find a breeder that may fly a puppy to you ........

www.petfinder.com (this is for shelters for homeless pets)
www.puppyfinder.com
www.findapuppy.com
www.pawsitesonline.com
www.weimaraner-breeder.com

..... Weimaraner's are an expensive breed. (I have also, looked into getting one). They are considered a rare breed and you can only find one thru a breeder and that is why the mark up is high.

If these websites don't help just search for Weimaraner Breeders on the net and you may be able to locate one.

Hope this helps

hi, a fiend brought a puppy from around lydd, have you tried epuz.co.uk or ad-mart.co.uk you can also try the kennel club, they have a list of pups available in certain areas. The kennel club and epuz have a list of breeders, so check that out. Good luck, hope you find one soon!

that that they had look some type of GSP. WHY? The Weimaraner silver-gray coat is an fantastically recessive colour to all others, so at the same time as pass-bred different breeds the more desirable dominant shades are commonly expressed. The silver-gray Weimaraner encompasses a liver gene & a dilution ingredient. A blue Weim (an exquisite good dominant colour than the liver) consists of a BLACK gene, plus the dilution ingredient. A silver gray it is rather (the liver gene+dilution ingredient) bred to a brown or brown & white referred to GSP, will produce brown or brown referred to domestic dogs. The AKC breed favourite for GSP says..."The coat is likewise of reliable liver or a blend of liver and white resembling liver and white ticked, liver patched and white ticked, or liver roan. A canines with any part of black, red, orange, lemon or tan, or a canines good white may be disqualified." yet such shades if in the GSP's genes, would have an result on the finest colour(s) expressed.

You will simply have to pay the going rate I'm afraid. Everything has a market price from puppies to houses and that's the price you have to pay. I suggest you start saving up.
