Our shih tzu is now due to deliver her pups but our vet feels she may have to be induced.
what i want to know is how can you induce a dogs laobour ? is it like a woman who gets put on a iv drip with meds or does the vet just manaully start the labour by breaking her water ??
this is our first litter and yes we have a vet but i just want to know what will happen if Cloe has to be induced

I pet and rub her tummy alot which she absolutely loves. She loves to be brushed everday as well (I give her a treat afterwords) but she never purrs. Is this strange?

Okay...Like i wanted a turtle for christmas but now I think I want a Hermit Crab...not a big one just a SMALL one...like 2 of them...how do I take care of them? Do they need a big place to live? Do they need water or can they stay on land? I really want a pet that can stay in my room at all times! REPEAT: ALL TIMES!!!
What pet am I looking for? IMPORTANT: THIS AMINAL CANNOT SMELL AND HAS TO BE SMALL AND EASY TO TAKE CARE OF!! *lol* sounds imposible but I really want a pet! PLEASE HELP!

i had a post last night due to the bird feeling ill..i kept him warm and did what i could but he did not make it till the morning...this budgie was 9 yrs old..and was the healtheist of all of them...i went to a pet store and said that he may have had a cold...but he was feeding a mom of 7 budgies......i think he may have strained himself feeding her and them...what could have happend and why all of a sudden?

I have a 10 gallon tank which has
1) Fresh water at room temperature with no chlorine because it is well water
2)water conditioning kit
3) aquarium salt for fresh water fish
4) a function filter
5) clean gravel from the store
6) I feed them everymorning a pinch of goldfish flackes ( like the fish man told me to)
* I got 6 goldfish from Petco. The fish man instructed me to float the bag in the water for 15 min before adding them to my water, and he also told me not to add his water to my tank, and that's what i did. I don't bug them or anything, I just watch them relax and swim around. But for some reason my goldfish keep dying on me. What's the problem?

Someone told me that you shouldn't let your dog sleep on or play with your clothing because he'll chew it up and not know the difference between chewing what you give him and chewing up clothing you do not want him to chew.

my dog did it for years and chewing my old sweatshirts to pieces gradually, mostly from dragging it around but also he just liked to chew parts of it off (he didn't like logos, the stiching wasn't comfy I guess) but he never chewed up any clothing that someone was wearing or that was out around him unless I gave it to him.

Of course he never ate food unless I gave it to him either, or I nudged it towards him if it fell, so maybe he is just weird?

we have a puppy we have only had him a month or so and he itches his ears and face a lot. He doesn't scratch to the point of bleeding or anything like that and he doesn't have fleas or ticks. his ears are not inflamed or red or even dry looking. any one have any ideas
