I have a 125 gallon saltwater tank - what is the guideline for how many fish can go into it? (i.e - freshwater tanks you try to keep it at 1 gallon of water per 1 inch of fish) Thank you.

I just picked up my new maltese x shitzu puppy on a trail run at 4 weeks old 2 days ago cause she had been eatin on her own and not sleeping with the mother anymore. the only problem is she yelps and whines at a high pitch allllll night so you could imagine the sleep ive had 0! is this because she mite not be still ready to leave the other pups or is there something i should be doing Ive never had a pupy before so its all pretty new to me.. i gave it some food and took it out to the toilet at 3am but that just made her want to play even more and whine more... what should i do? take her back to the pups for another week or so or????? how long does this usually last for?

I am getting a large male standrard poodle. This puppy will not have any cuts that make it look like the show dogs, it will look like a regular dog. So it's hair wont be in puffs at the hips, and stuff like that. Anyways, I am looking for a unique or interesting dog name. Thanks!

I feel for animals. I love them, and I hate to see hunters(definition for hunters- heartless monsters-) kill them just to hang them up on walls or use them as carpets. These beautiful wild animals do not deserve to be treated in such a nasty a cruel way. So my question is, would you sign a petition to ban sport(hobby) hunting?

I am putting this question in this category because many wild animals have become pets over many decades.

My bf and I adopted a 2.5 yr old male cat around the start of September. We adore him, but he has this habit of biting you when you pet him. I don't believe in hitting animals, so what's a good way to get him to stop biting us? Also, is there any trick to get him to let us cut his nails? My cat in Oklahoma (long story, I had to leave him with my parents after I moved because pet movers cancelled on me), always let me cut his nails, but this cat acts like he's dying and gets spastic.

I have 2 large angel fish at the moment and 1 gourami all around 4 years old, they live alone at the moment in a 4ft tank and I want to add some new fish.

What other fish would get along with the ones I already have?
I would like some bigger fish (no tetras etc) and if possible something a little more unusual or colourful.

Ok this is going to sound stupid, but I have to ask....I have a German Shepard/Yellow Lab mix, and I am going to get another dog within the next 6 months. He seems to get along with other dogs, and I haven't seen any aggressive behavior in him. My question about this...are there certain breeds of dogs that do not get along with other dogs of different breeds, or their own? He seems to get along with any dog, but I want to get a smaller dog next time I adopt. I assume when I find another dog I should introduce the two before bringing him/her home am I on the right track here? I know some dogs are more hyperactive and so on, so what would be a good match?

Don't u know it ISN'T good for the kitty. Its like cutting their toes off. Sure they may get use to it but so what?! If that would happen to a human for instance they too can get "use to it" but it wouldn't mean they would be perfectley fine with it!!! Earlier this year my dog that I've had for 14 years passed away, I miss her a lot and it feels so weird not having her around anymore. So now I'm starting to want another dog but I know my mom does not. I'm in my late teens, work, and have been taking care of my pets completely (paying for vet visits, food, cleaning up after them etc.) so it's not like I'm not responsible. Anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to convince her or how to go about asking her?
