I love my dogs and everytime I go out they want to come with me. And each time I go I say next time your staying home. They bark at everyone and everything. They would never hurt anyone, but they are ruining any chances of getting pet acting like that. I have tried quiet, and no, and grabbed them by the collar and no, and have tapped on their nose. I even have resorted to putting a mussel on them, one at a time of course. Because usually it only starts with one, but before long they all get going. I know they want to say hi, but I just want them to do it a bit quieter. They are all nice sweet dogs who just love people.

My best mate has just had a pup. She asked me about crate/cage training since I've had dogs in the past. I've never used it but i'd like to ask anyone who knows......How do you go about it? Is it really the best method for training? What alternatives are there?

She had 3 babies , we have a name for 1 of them and that is cadburry because (s)he looks like a cadburry bunny. The parents names are daisy and casey. One of the babies has a white strip down its face and its colour orange and white on its tummy with a bit of grey and I think its a boy but not sure. The other one I think is a female not sure again and its like light grey with orange hidden in her and a white nose like her father. They all are double maned and I think the grey is a teddy like her mom. The mom is tort and the dad is orange with white. Cadburry is tort too. Any good names.

I have a Jack Russell. He is about 2and a half. Within the last week, he has become aggressive to both my boyfriend and me. He is allowed on the couch, but I needed him to get down the other day and he showed me his teeth when I told him to get down. The same thing happened when my boyfriend came home, as well as the growling. We decided not to let him on the couch when we were there. Then two days later, when my boyfriend got up in the morning, he made the dog get off the couch, once again the teeth came out and the growling, so my boyfriend when to get him and put him outside, and the dog bit him. What's going on? Is it the age? Testing his authority or ours maybe? :Please help!!

My dog was in a dog fight yesterday with a pit bull. The pit bull just attacked her out of nowhere. I know the owners of the pit bull so I am not worried about my dog having rabies. After the fight I checked my dog fully for any damage. All I saw was was a few scratches on her back and one on her leg. Today I was rubbing behind her ears and she cried out, I felt something moist and when I looked behind her ear I found a clean cut/puncture. I am not going to sue the owners of the other dog or anything crazy like that. I am just concerned for the health of my dog. The cut is not hot or swollen and there is no abnormal discharge coming from it. My dog is acting 100% like her self (I didnt even know she was hurt until today). I cleaned out the cut with band-aid wash for cuts and applied some new skin on the cut. My dog seems to be doing ok but I dont know if I should take her to the vet or not. Taking her to the vet today is not an option because its closed...any advice?

I have been doing a lot of research and have come up with answers that diverge so dramatically, I'm really not sure what to think. For example, if I followed the label instructions from Wellness, the calculation comes out to 560 Calories/day for a 6 month old kitten. When I use info from reliable web sources, I get anything from 212 Cals/day to 350 Cals/day. I'm trying to feed my kittens the right amount of food, and now I'm just very unsure as to what exactly that is.

I would appreciate info on the caloric intake for kittens aged 4 through 8 months, who are both, as you can imagine, very active.

We have an eleven week old puppy who is in the recovery stages (thank God!) of Parvo. He is probably coming home in the next 3-4 days (unless God forbid he relapses). We are cleaning the grass, porch, deck, kitchen floor, etc. with the bleach solution. I am also bleaching the blankets, etc. My only concern is the hardwood floors I have throughout my home (except the kitchen). I don't think I can bleach them - is there anything else I can use to kill the parvo?

Also - is there any chance that the dog can catch it again within it's environment? We only had him for two days prior to him getting Parvo. He was a rescue pup AND HADN'T BEEN VACCINATED!!

Also, any suggestions about diet? I am going to have him on boiled chicken, rice, some liver (apparently absorbs toxins). I have heard some suggestions about probiotic yogurt, but I am concerned that dairy products may be hard on his system.

Any help/input would be greatly appreciated!
