Take your dog to a Vet to find out what kind of worms your dog has and if you notice that after she goes #2 there are little rice looking bits in the stool, tell the Vet that.
Also your Vet should do a heartworm exam on your dog to make sure she is heartworm negative. If she is negative, the doctor will start her on a heartworm preventative. Heartworms are contracted from mosquitos, Tapeworms from fleas.
It is well worth the preventative maintenance that a Vet can provide, vs. attempting to treat a dog on your own and being ineffective or dangerous.

How often do you worm you dog? Does he/she pick things up off the floor? Dogs should be wormed roughly every 3/4 months especially if they are scavengers. You need to get the dog checked over by the vet then a good worming tablet like Drontal will sort the worms out, then once they are cleaned out just buy a good multi wormer from the pet shop. The key to keeping your dog worm free is to do it regular.

Take a stool sample to the vet to find out what kind of worms your dog has before you try to treat them.
I'd also suggest a heartworm test be done and getting your dog on a monthly heartwormer. They also take care of many different types of worms so you've got basically all in one protection.Only one you need to worry about is tapeworm.

Easily!

Buy some worming tablets from your Vet.

One dose is usually all that is required to get rid of an infestation then regular worming every three months keeps your dog worm-free and healthy.

Go to a vet, get a diagnosis of the type of worms your Shepherd has, and the vet will prescribe the proper deworming medication for your GSD.

Its a messy business, but the vet will help by giving you some pills for the dog/s, put them into the dog/s mouth then close the mouth firmly and pull the mouth upward-gently and stroke the dogs throat. Within a short time all the worms will be evacuated via the bowels in faeces, they are often long and white and should be incinerated. Ensure you wear surgical gloves.

Call your vet. If your vet knows you well enough maybe you can go in and buy the pills you need without taking your dog in. My dog ended up with worms from biting a flea and I got five pills from my vet. All five pills were given at one time and that was the end of the problem. The pill dosage is given by weight of the dog. Mine was a 90lb. Doberman. Good luck. Pills are not expensive.

Take a stool sample to your vet, get a fecal test done to find out what type(s) worms you are dealing with and then the vet will prescribe the proper medication.

Do NOT use OTC dewormers. They are a waste of money plus they can be very dangerous to your dog.
