I doubt it but don't give up hope.
Your dog may have been stolen.
Walked several miles or a few blocks and taken up with a total stranger. No one knows but it happens often that adog will be going by a house and just move in . Sometimes it's not just a particular new owner but the house itself. Sometimes they just see someone and become instantly attached to them, no one knows why.
It couldbe your dog walke doff and got chased or chased soemthing into a new and strange neighborhood and is just lost.
If it has beeen gone for severaldays it's likely it's gone for good.
If you are christian pray for it's return. that sometimes helps .
Animals have a sixth sense in locating it's owner and maybe can sense when it's owner is missing it.

Dogs can smell their owners for days after they have passed. Dogs have been gone for 2 months before and come back. They can pick up their owners scent in very fine traces, if she is alive there is a good chance you will have her/him back.
