Ok i have a dog too.
She does that some times also its usually because they are either having a bad dream like maybe a cat is chasing them and is going to eat them or if they got bit by something.
People cant usually tell whats in a dogs mind but if you get to know them alot more then i am sure you will

Probably getting chased, or running away. My dog does this all the item. He get's in deep sleep where he's snoring, shaking, and moving his legs .He also whimpers. He moves his legs like he's running. He's a pound puppy so I always think he's dreaming about running away, or being chased by Animal Control hehe.

Dogs dream about playing, hunting (if they are hunting breeds). They dream about chasing rabbits or other animals. they evidently about the same thingbs humans do just in doggy form.
You can even see when dogs are happy , scared , or confused by their dreams. Some times they are runnignin their sleep and it's easy to see they are chasing soemthing.

About a juicy steak.
Or about a nearly dog lady.
Or about the next day walk around the yard
Or about who he chased away the neighbor's cat.
Or something else...

I think they dream of running after and catching prey, my dog used to make running motions with his paws in his sleep, and then chew on something he caught in his dream! Very cute :).
