I have a problem when I do a 2 point. I always grip with my knees, and I know this is wrong. I also do it when I post at the trot. Does anyone know how I can stop doing it? I just started lessons so maybe it will go away with time, as my leg gets stronger?

There this gray cat with beautiful yellow eyes that always sits on my front porch. My parents bought it cat food, and it always come back every day, but my neighbors also gives the stary cats food too. I have know this cat since it was kitten. It used to be my friend's cat but she couldn't keep it and so had to abandoned it (him...i think). When we go near the cat, it goes near us or meow at us. What do you think?

Girlie is a 12yr old long-haired Tiger. She has experienced a couple of episodes of an upset stomach. As a result she has dropped a few pounds. I would like some REAL suggestions as to how I might help her put some of the lost weight back on?. I have already talked to her Vet. Since she's 12, I have to be careful how I adjust her diet. Are there any Cat LOVERS who can help Girlie?

My dog had a minor eye surgery 2 days ago. It was nothing serious just a growth in his eye that had to be removed. Unfortunately for my dog he now has to wear a cone around his head and have an ointment put into his eye three times a day. We take the cone off while we are around him because we feel bad for him. But, whenever we try to get him to eat he will only take a few bites and stare at us as if he is mad at us. We have tried everything from putting wet dog food to left over turkey in his food but still he will not eat it and still looks at us like he hates us. Is this normal post surgery behavior or should I be concerned.

thanks for all answers, i let my reluctant hubby read them, and have progressed to leaving a message with Animal Rescue, to get back to me about giving a loving dog a good home.
Will you wish me luck, that i can find a lovely dog, to give a good home to, and make it part of our family?

We are in Australia so it gets hot in Summer (30C) and cool in winter (15C) And we don't know if he is boy or girl.

What is the life expectancy for the average cockateil and is there a way to see if it is a boy or a girl without going to a vet?

Thanks

We recently adopted a 4 month old kitten. We brought her home with upper respiratory, but she seems to be better now. Our older cat (female, spayed, 4 years) has the URI vaccine, but has suddenly come down with this eye infection... she has white goo coming out of her eye, to the point where it sometimes won't open. It's very itchy, and there is something in her eye blocking part of it. She is very sensitive, and turns away whenever we try to look at it. We rubbed part of it away with a warm washcloth, but it's not getting better. Does anyone know what this is or could be and any treatments ... we can't get her to the vet until tomorrow, so anything to help her will be greatly appreciated!

My dog seems to have a problem with children, small children i've noticed. Everytime a child comes around he goes crazy! He starts barking and acting like a maniac, and might I mention the barking never stops until the child/ren are out of site. He also bites on the fence as if he's trying to figure out a way to get out of his gate. Honestly, I don't think he's had any bad experiences with children due to the fact that we've had him every since he was a puppy (about a month old), and every since we've had him no child has really ever been around him, but even I don't think thats the real problem. There is a guy down the street that came to our house and he has 2 children, one is 9 and the other is 5, and I noticed that the he didn't really bark at them, they were all at the gates playing around with him, he acted as if they didn't bother him at all. I dont know if the breed would have anything to do with this, but in case you all are wondering he's half chow and (we think) half fox.
