I'm sorry he died. You have a bigger problem now. You have to make sure the mother he was feeding is getting enough to feed her 7 babies.
She may let the youngest ones die and feed the older ones. Keep an eye on the crops of the babies to make sure there is food in them.
Put a dish of food in or next to the nest plus a dish of water "right outside" of the nest.
It's a good idea to buy some Kaytee handfeeding formula for baby birds and put a dry dish of it for the mother beside the water. It will digest easier for her so she can feed more of the babies.
Please let us know how they are doing.

I just read the part you added to this last post. If the 2 month old baby seems to be choking, it sounds like gape worm. You cannot ignore this. You have to treat all the other birds as well because it's highly contagious. It will kill all your birds. Is there a clicking noise when it breathes?

This link www.finchniche.com/s-product-worms.mgi - sells worm away and this one sells something similar www.aristopet.com.au/.../PDF%20Downloadable%20brochures/Bird_Care_Brochure%203-4.pdf

But first call your vet to see if he has a treatment more readily available for you.

I think your pet lived a long life, although I would keep close attention to your other birds just in case the cold the one bird had isn't spreading to the others.

From what I understand about them, a budgie's average life span is around 8 years, so I think your bird lived a good long time.

in basic terms ever had single budgies. i could agree in case you pick to tame them, to tutor them to communicate (nicely as ultimate they cope with, they is in basic terms not as solid as a Mynah or Parrot), to respond to human interest, then a single is larger. in case you could not provide as lots one million:one million interest, then a pair are greater advantageous, and in the event that they'd desire to be caged for a brilliant style of the time, then a greater robust cage / indoor aviary with flight area is ultimate. you particularly choose a budgie to be finger tame, to fly it, in any different case restoration is a demanding technique for the two proprietor and budgie. in case you have a single budgie, you're its flock, it is so ordinary as that.

The cold may have progressed to pneumonia.9 years is a long time for a parakeet. He was lucky to have you.

You might find the answer yourself.
Think about what you did before it got sick. Did you feed it sumthing? Did you change its location or the cage? Do you have any little kids that cud've put sumthing in the cage?
