I have had 5 and i was told to Never wash them. I don't think they make any shampoos that are specifically for guinea pigs, and they can get cold easily when wet. I never took the chance, and just brushed them with a Soft brush, like a tooth brush, and kept their cages clean.

I have had three guinea pigs. I used to think that it was fun to wash them in the sink. I would make sure the water was warm but not too warm and after I would wrap them in towels and put them back in their cages. But now that I think about it, it was extremely stressful on them.

I would only recommend putting them in a small basin with just enough water to cover their feet if they have feces stuck to their feet. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend bathing them.

Yes. I have pet mice and they go swimming in the kitchen sink all the time. Many times I wash them with a mild shampoo and then towel dry them slightly with a soft cloth. After that they will lick themselves the rest of the way dry. When they are completely dry I pat them down with Johnson & Johnson baby powder. Believe me....They love it and so will your Guinea Pigs.

I gave my Guinea Pig baths in warn water with out soap, and she loved it! It never hurt her.Their little feet can become messy if the cage has some messes and when don't they mess in their cages. I would hold Squeckie in a warm towel from the drier so she didn't get chilled. I just loved that little fur ball.I miss her.

u can but only when needed
use lukewarm water and mild baby shampoo
dry your guinea pig thoroughly & keep it away from drafts because it can easily catch a cold

You can but it depends. If it a long haired piggie you should more often than a short haired. You can buy special shampoo at Petco or Petsmart. I hope I helped!
