Does your pet have enough food and water? If so your pet should not be eating the newspaper. Wood chips are better and last longer than newspapers. They last about a week or so and they are not expensive. I had a guinea pig when I was 10 and he lived to be 8 years old which is really good. If you are not sure then please see a vet.

Does your guinea pig have food or water? Maybe that's the case. Make sure your Piggy has fresh food and water each day. As long as the newspaper is black and white, it's okay. Coloured newspaper is like poison to your poor pig. I wish you all the best with your piggy!

are u sure he's actually eating it, he's probally just chewing it up. but at anyrate, it is still not good for him to have that in there, most (not all) newspapers still use an ink that isnt good for animals. if you want to put paper under the bedding use pure white paper. what worked well for me was to put a layer of NON CLAY cat litter, like feline pine under the aspen chips.
good luck, and have fun with your little guy

He needs some chew toys. Most newspapers today use soy based inks. He should be fine, but other alternatives would be better. Have a nice day.

It's not bad, but you should give him some toys. They love paper towel rolls and wood blocks. Also try rabbit and ferret toys. My piggie loved a rabbit toy that was hanging from the top woth a bell.

My guinea pig does that too. I think its from lack of things to play with or chew on. I don't think its bad for him.
