Hello. I have spent my entire life studying Pachyderms. The word comes from the Greek "pachydermos" meaning thick-skinned. This includes any of the hoofed animals, such as elephant, rhinoceros, and hippo.
The Indian elephant, Elephas indicus, has small ears, a concaved forehead and only the males have tusks.
The African elephant, Elephas africanus, has large ears, a conVEX forehead, and both sexes have tusks.
The next time you watch an old TARZAN film, notice how the elephants have small ears, proving the film was made in India, with trained elephants. Tarzan was supposed to live in Africa.
You can buy my book from Amazon.com "Inside the Elephant Subconscience" by doctor Trevor Trillion. $59.95 plus S&H.
