Hi everyone. A quick question for all you animal lovers out there. I have a 16 week old puppy (Jack russell/shetland sheepdog). She has had her boosters and is now ready to venture out into the great wide outdoors. The only problem is she blatantly refuses to walk on the lead, struggles furiously and wimpers. Does anyone have any suggestions other than dragging her along. All help would be appreciated. Thank you everyone xxx

She's 12 y/o, has never done this before. Moved to a brand new place ( with carpet ) and now she pees, when I'm home and when I'm not. Schnauzer/Cocker mix.

I only register my dogs if I intend to breed. The dog must show great potential. That being said, all of my other dogs requardless of their pedigree are fixed. I just recently registered a dog with the AKC on line for the first time. I have gotten so much junk mail and spam from them its disgusting. Has this happened to anyone else? I think its a disgrace!!!!!!!!

My cat has been mad at me for over a week now. He used to cuddle with me and slept with me and for some reason, he won't come near me now. I don't know what I did but it must have been bad. He growled at me when I put him in bed with me and just sits either giving me mean looks or with his back to me. I tried bribing him ith treats but after he ate them, he went back to ignoring me. How do I make up with him?

There seem to be quite a few. (i.e. Peterson, Gilwood, Troyer)
I like the details of the Peterson but have mixed feelings about the oval entrance hole.

She recently had her first period, and we do have two other dogs (another female and a male) She still acts exactly the same except her nipples have gotten bigger and her female reproductive part has gotten a lot bigger.

I've had my cockatiel for about nine months and I'm still not sure on the gender. I know people say if the cheeks are bright then it's a boy, but my cockatiel is about a year old (which I'm sure is a time they're at least beginning to be sexually matured) and is still pale in the cheeks. Then I heard if your bird has little grey lines under it's back tail feather it's a hen, and my bird has that. THEN people said my bird was grinding his beak, which meant "he is a boy." Someone who is sure, and hasn't just heard theories please help me! Thanks!

I am trying to figure out how long a mommy doberman's nipples will sag after she has puppies. I am scared that she will be one of those dogs whose nipples drag the ground and look like they're always pregnant. Is there anything you can do to keep them from hanging? Thanks in advance!

i'm just wondering if anyone else has an obese cat. mine gained all off the weight within a few months of rescuing him as about a one year old cat. i believe his peak was 25 or 27 pounds. somewhere around there.

i was just wondering, what are you doing to help it lose weight?
i had my cat on insulin, but the vet says he doesn't need it anymore, so he's just on diabetic cat food now. strange thing is, he isn't even diabetic!

i also want to know if you or anyone else teases the cat for being fat.
my boyfriend and i call it the dog, because it's just so huge, and when it's next to my other cats, he really looks as huge as a dog! lol.

anything else you have to say about this topic is cool. i just want to hear from other people who are in this situation.

My Mini Schnauzer is 4 years old. He has terrible anger issues! I was wondering if that is caused by him still having all his "stuff".

9 month old mix. We got him at 3 mos from shelter. they said he was an Akita/lab mix. Looks so but also looks like he has some Pit in him. He will suddenly get very aggressive for ~30 minutes and then calm down. Normal? Problem? Solution? Thanks

Her dog is 14,vomiting blood, has bloody diaherra--but, she can't afford cost of Vet putting dog down. It's a pomeranian. What other options are there? The dog is already blind, and has been failing pretty quick. Not humane to prolong this. Any free options I could tell her about?

I know she is part German Shepherd but don't know what else she is mixed with. Some people tell me Lab, while some say Chow. Thanks.

I live with a very clean gf and although we've got a cat, we're thinking of adopting a dog as well. The problem with a dog is that we're not sure that it cleans it's behind after using #2 like a cat does. Also is it possible to potty train a dog and are there doggy litter like for cats. Thanks, we thinking of getting a Labrador.

I purchased sinking algae chips for my plecostomus and in one day the water was so dirty it had to be changed. What is the best brand and type of algae chips (or other food source) to give him that will allow my aquarium water to remain clean?

My dog died in June 2006, and ever since then he has been kept in our storage freezer. We do not believe in cremating him or burying him. Is this illegal?
