My cat has been mad at me for over a week now. He used to cuddle with me and slept with me and for some reason, he won't come near me now. I don't know what I did but it must have been bad. He growled at me when I put him in bed with me and just sits either giving me mean looks or with his back to me. I tried bribing him ith treats but after he ate them, he went back to ignoring me. How do I make up with him?

To make it worse, he goes and sits with my husband. He never sat with my husband before.

Cats are like people, they have moods. Something must have happened. Did you discipline him and cause him to not trust you? Keep trying to win his trust back, he loves you down deep in that furry heart of his and knows you are his mamma. He'll come back to you. I swatted my kitty on the nose over the weekend for eating my Christmas lights and she hasn't come near me either all week. I have been trying to win her affection back, I miss her love, but she's still angry. So just keep loving him, he'll love you back once he's forgotten about what ever it is that made him mad to begin with. Good luck.

It might not be that he is mad at you it might be a stage he is going thru leave him be just ignore him after a couple days of this he might go back to his old self. When you are trying to pick him up it is giving him attention and he is trying to see how far he can get. just let him be. If that does not work take him to the vet he might have a temperment problem they might no what to do.

Cats like affection on their terms. Ignore kitty until she comes to you. Ever notice how cats flock to the people who hate cats? Cats don't get "mad" at you, they are not human.

Did you change anything recently? Your perfume, bath product, laundry soap, hair product? Did you get a new item that you wear or touch daily, like a jacket or bag, or household item like a bedspread? Did you move furniture or otherwise make major changes to the house?
Cats don't like change, and they don't like certain scents; one of my cats snubs me for two weeks every time i buy new shoes. He just hates the new plastic/leather smell.
Try to track down what's bothering him and remove it. If you can't find it, and he's not otherwise acting ill or odd, just give it a little time.

Well firstly, figure out what you done to your cat to make it so mad at you.
And yeah, it'll get over it, just give the cat space.
