She has drastically lost weight. She pees in unknown places other than her litter box. She recently has a limb and moves from the one spot she has been in for the past 3 days maybe once a day to drink a little water and maybe eat something but it's not much. Is this old age or could there be something very wrong?

I want to get my boyfriend a reptile of some sort for our anniversary. He loves reptiles, but doesn't want a snake because they eat mice/rats (and we love rodents). I thought about getting him a different type of reptile, but as far as I know, they all eat crickets or other insects. I'd rather not give him a pet that needs insects all the time. I'd much rather have a pet that eats fruits and vegetables, or some kind of packaged food (like pellets or flakes). Do you know of any reptile like this?

My puppy is about 7 months old and very sweet. She is extremely well behaved and completely potty trained. We tend to spoil her and take her with us everywhere and she is constantly around people. Since we got her, she has rarely been left home alone. We used to lock her in the kitchen (only for short periods of time)using a baby gate, but also leaving her access to the back yard. Once she got big enough she learned to jump over the gate and started to destroy anything and everything she could get her mouth on in the house. She was looking for things to destroy, things she wouldnt even bother with or notice if we were home with her. She knew what she was doing was wrong. The second we would come home to find her mess, she would be cowering under the table or running away scared. My questions is this...other than the obvious punishments (bad dog, shown the mess, locked outside), how can I cure her of this habit? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

My sister has a boxer named Emma. Emma has recently (within the last 2 weeks) began using the bathroom inside instead of outside. She hasn't urinated but keeps defacting in the same rooms. Prior to this happening, she was completely trained and rarely had an accident. Any ideas as to what might be causing this behavior? Also, do you know of any ways to change this? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

my cat has half a tail. Not sure why, but she does, lol. She's always bumping into things and she's not graceful at ALL. I mean, she walks like some kind of cat-robot, lol. She has all of her whiskers and she isn't blind. She also does not have any sort of inner ear problem, the vet has confirmed this. Does her half-tail make her like this?

My dog is getting his leg amputated (he was born with a shriveled leg and he is 1, so he is used to not having it) and being neutered today. Does anyone have any hints on what to expect while Duke recovers, and what I can do to make him comfortable? He has a very good temperment, but is it still possible that he will growl and snap at me when I attempt to assist him with anything?

I am thinking about getting a dog. I live alone, in a 2-bedroom house. The yard is not fenced in, and I don’t plan on fencing it. So it would have to be a house dog that goes for a couple of walks a day. I’d prefer an adult, somewhere between 2 and 5 years old. I don’t care if it's a pure-bred or mutt. I’d prefer a small to medium dog, no more than 50 pounds, but not a teacup or toy either.

I saw a cocker spaniel at the local humane society. He’s about 3 or 4 years old, seems friendly but not jumpy, he’s been there for a while (I’ve forgotten why), already housebroken, already neutered. The people there think he would be a good match for me, and I agree - except this whole Cocker Rage thing. How prevalent is the problem? Is there a certain age that it manifests? Should I get a mutt instead? What other breeds should I consider?

Thanks!

I have a 30 gal freshwater tank. I have had no problems with it until a couple of days ago when I put feeder fish in the tank. I have a clown knife fish, which looks like something is eating away at his tail, and I have two blood parrot cichlids, they seem to be okay for now. Now I notice that there is tiny white worms on the glass and in the water of the tank. What can I do to save my fish and what are the worms called?

Is it okay to give my cat baby food? I've heard of it before. She has cancer, and I'm trying to keep her comfortable-hard for her to eat some of the soft cat food.

Me and my husband have had our bull terrier for 2 years now. she gets yeast ear infection all the time. Our vet gave us anti-biotics and we switched her diet to eating only fresh food we made with no perseratives. our vet also switch her heart wom because that too had artificial flavor. It was good for a couple of months but now her ear infections back. I can't keep going to the vet every three months like this and paying hundreds of dollars. Has anyone else had this happen? If so what did you do?
