Mixed breed would be my opinion, but yes with German Shepherd. Don't know why some would say hound, I don't see that.

Looks like a full German Shepherd pup to me, the ears just haven't stood up yet. Pretty dog. Don't see hound at all though.

I am not to sure but it looks alot like a german shepard. The only hound I have seen with those color markings is a black and tan coon hound and it is not that. My Mom raised shepards when I was a child and they looked like the dog in the picture. It could be a mixed breed also. But it looks like a shepard

Looks like a mutt. German shepherd is a good guess. Black and Tan Coonhound is another. Louisiana Catahoula is also a possibility. It's cute. If it's your dog, don't worry about the breed. Just love it. If you're considering adopting it, any of those breeds would make a good pet - they're all pretty smart.

From the picture I would say mostly german shepherd. The soft ears may be from another breed but coloring, coat, etc. is definitely shepherd.

I agree with others, at least part german shepherd. Perhaps some border collie or aussie in the mix if it is smaller than your average german shepherd.

i would say that he is pure German Shepherd. he dont like any mix or a hound. he looks exactly like my friends dog when he was a puppy. but know he wieghs about 130lbs and hes 2 1/2.

It looks like a pure Shepherd to me, simply one whose ears are flopped down due to teething.

It might be mixed, but if so, I'd think that one parent was pure Shepherd, the other 1/2 Shepherd.
