He's really sweet. He's dark and light gray striped, and is going to need his eye removed soon. We haven't named him yet. He's very strong, has already had a very tough life, and needs a good strong name. =)

im wondering why my dog is attacking her pups. this is her third and final litter of puppies. the other night we found one puppy with a large lump and bleeding from her head. this morning we woke up hearing a puppy screaming she had done something to this one as well. she seems remorseful later which she probably is. her puppies are no longer breastfed because they are almost 7 wks. im sure shes tired of them but she has never done this to any of her other puppies in the past

I got my male syrian hamster this past September and everything seems to freak him out. He's overly-paranoid! I'm not sure how old he is but would guess he's 1/2 year-year old. He freezes at every noise and tries to avoid any human contact. After we do handle him, he buries a hold in a corner and sticks his head in it.

As he's getting older, will he ever stop being so paranoid?

Our cat gets white flakes in her fur during the winter. We regularly treat her for fleas and worms and we often check her but she doesn't seem to have anything abnormal. Does anyone elses cat have this problem and what do you do about it?

I have a black 4-6 month old cat we have had him a little over a month. He looks like a black panther. However, we have not come up with practical name for him. I call him black majic, my daughter (who is 5) calls him little guy and my boyfriend calls him slick. Any one have any creative names I could maybe use for him?
Creativity will capture my interest!

Just yesterday a pitbull ran loose in my complex and right in front of my back door, killed a cat! I absolutely love animals but now I am scared of this type of dog. It's apparent this owner raised this animal to be extremely vicious and this needs to end. I think more action needs to be taken against these owners. How can we make this incident never happen again?

we got our puppy from the local animal shelter. they were labled as "aussy shep / mix"

is there any way to figure out the "mix" part? she looks just like an aussy shep - black, naturally docked tail, merle spots on one leg. the only thing we can think of is MAYBE part border collie, just cause she has a longer snout (but she's only 5 months so she's still growing)

any ideas?

i'm trying to upload some pics to my website, but for now, know of any way to find out?

Now before I get bashed up I just want to say that I found this kitten under the porch of one of my neighbors when she was probably 3 weeks old, her mother died and I took care of her since then. She is also a 'special' cat, she only has three legs (missing back left.) She runs around like a normal kitten, she loves to play, and even worse she loves loves loves to scratch. I have tried everything... I have bought so many posts, which she will look at for a few seconds and then go back to scratching on the furniture. I have also tried those awful softpaws.. what a waste of money, a lot of money, and they always fall off after a day. I live at home and my mother is fed up with the scratching so declawing is the only alternative. I'm just wondering what I should do to prepare for her coming home... is there anything special I need.. Thanks in advance.

Also, if you don't agree with me thats your buisness, but i'm not asking for your opinion , i just want some info on aftercare.

These are some foals who were born to horses used in the manufacturing of the drug Premarin(the mare's urine is used) If homes are not found for the foals before Nov.30th.,they will be sent to auction and could be sold for slaughter. Here is the link to see the foals up for adoption.

My kitty doesn't scratch me. Unless sometimes when he's playing with us by accident.
But does your kitty scratch you.

My daughter went off to college and left her 3 yr old min pin with us. My husband never has liked this dog, but as she has gotten older she has gotten better. She has doggie doors and can freely go in and outside at her leisure. Going in the house has never been an issue until recently. Now she does it all the time! We have racked our brains trying to figure out why she is doing this and have no idea. She went to the vet over a month ago and got all her vaccinations and was in good health, nothing major has changed, but she continues to do this even after she is punished. We now lock her in the garage when we go to bed or leave after multiple attempts to correct her behavior. We are at wits end and my husband is nearing the breaking point. Does anyone have any idea as to why this behavior may have started or any suggestions?

My cat has these odd lumps. It first started as one hugh lump at the base of his tail. It doesn't hurt him. Later he got one on his tail and just recently I found one behind his ear. When I took him to the vet they told me that it was nothing. I found that very odd that he suddenly has lump and its nothing. LOL i paid 700 bucks for a diagnosis like that!
