Never heard of it, but it sounds like it may be a nickname. Dobermans were called 'Devil Dogs' when used as military dogs during the World Wars: http://www.homestead.com/legard/AboutTheDobermann.html

'Cinder Devil' makes me think of a terrier, though - many were used to run in wheels that turned a spit over a fire to cook meat: http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/breedinformation/terrier/glenofit.html

Nope, I have a poster of all the dog species and that is not one of them. It is not a hybrid or crossbreed either
