the olny animal control in my area is SPCA! they are very underfunded & are unable to pick up strays in my area!! so, people resort to crual means to get reid of them! i have already taken in 3 puting me at 4 dogs and i rent! can't take in anymore!! can anyone give me ANY ideas on how to keep these dogs alive!! nothing can be done about them being kill, b/c i can not get any solid proof, so i need to find ways to either get them off the streets or find a way to help my local shelter with funding so they can take them of the streets!! all ideas will be considered, but i am not rich! if i was i'd donate my money to them my self!!!! please, no nasty answers!!!

.If you click on the shelter name, it will take you to their website..contact them as ask what you can do to help in your area.. they might be able to help you to re-home the dogs that you have taken in, and set you up as a foster care for dogs going in and out of their system.. the more dogs that these shelters can place, the more they can rescue.. Our community senior center has an adoption program, where the seniors can 'adopt' a shelter dog, and help to support it, advertise it, and take it for walks.. Programs such as this are very helpful.. they get the dogs out at street faires, and community festivities, where people can see them, and it keeps adoption rates higher..
You might also be able to help with the re-training and rehab of rescued dogs, so they can more easily be placed..The more dogs that are placed, the more that can be rescued off the streets, and from high-kill shelters..

What is SPCA? Do you have a humane society? They will take them in and try to find them a home. p.s. I also live in Alabama

Try doing the food and kill method.. hire someone to watch a big pile of dog food and while some of them are eating shoot them i know it sound brutal but im sure it is the only way to help them...do the right thing.
