An incubator is really the easiest way, as you can control the temperature and the humidity better. I hatched 4 duck eggs on Sunday.
Duck eggs normally take 28 days and need to be turned for 3 plus times a day for the first 26 days, and then left.
Hatching can take several days to complete and you ned to be patient.
Once hatched, they will nee to be kept warm and at this time of year indoors.
Sexing them is something that is a bit harder for the beginner, depending on the breed it can be done when they are older by colour and also tail feather, most domestic drakes will have curly tail feathers. It is possible to sex themm at a day old by looking at their vent, but you need to know what you are doing as you can hurt them.
Also remember that eggs on ebay are normally sold in batchs of 6, what are you going to do with 6 ducks if the all hatch.

I acutally raised a duck that hatched from an egg. The best thing would be to have a small cage for it, a fish tank works the best. Then put hay or some kind of bedding on the bottom of it and have some kind of heat lamp to put over top of the cage. You also will need to turn the egg quite often to prevent the egg shell from sticking to the duck when it begins to hatch. Once you have done all that, wait and enjoy. Once the egg has hatched, I really don't know how to tell what the sex is, I guess just waiting until it gets a little older to see if the head turns green or not. Green for male and all brown for female.

you need to set your incubator temperature and humidity at the correct levels, turn the egg at least 6 times a day if you have no autoturner. When they hatch they need to be kept in a heated brooder for several weeks with a shallow water container and duck crumbs. Make sure you have plenty of shavings available because they are filthy creatures to brood as they puddle in their water, poop in it, and tread it all over the bedding. The first time I hatched ducklings was the last. At this time of year and eggs that you buy will not be fertile.

You would need an incubator. This would keep the duck eggs at the proper temperature. Depending on what kind of incubator you get you may have to turn the eggs several times a day. Some incubators will do this for you. You also have to make sure the eggs are kept at the proper humidity. Again, the better ones will have settings for this.
