Mommy Doberman's Nipple Question??

I am trying to figure out how long a mommy doberman's nipples will sag after she has puppies. I am scared that she will be one of those dogs whose nipples drag the ground and look like they're always pregnant. Is there anything you can do to keep them from hanging? Thanks in advance!

Yes there is. I have a female dog. Although she doesnt have puppies, i did ask the vet. He said, that after birth and everything, that the dog should have exercise, mainly that it should run alot. By doing this, it will keep the skin tight, and eventually reduce the saggin that occurs at birth time. I hope this helped. You could check with a vet about this to be sure.

If she is a very active dog then they should start to dry up in about a week. they should not sag very long but the nipple may be slightly more distended. the reason why some dogs nipples sag so much is that they nurse their puppies for so long and sometimes they are still nursing when they get pregnant again. so make sure to seperate that puppies from the mama between 6 to 9 weeks

Unless they came out with something I have not noticed I do not think there is anything.
One of the things a female dog has to put up with after having puppies. They will dry up, hopefully they wont sag to much?

Most dogs, unless repeatedly bred will dry up. Exercise and proper nutrition will assist in the natural process. All should go well.

Only time and exercise can help. Some dogs never recover all the way.
