She recently had her first period, and we do have two other dogs (another female and a male) She still acts exactly the same except her nipples have gotten bigger and her female reproductive part has gotten a lot bigger.

It sounds like time for a vet check. Those symptoms sound suspicious (particularly the nipples part).

You mention that she recently had her first heat. She may still be coming out of that. Most Vets recommend spaying a female dog after six mos. of age. I had a GSD that came into heat right about at six mos. though I had planned to spay her before her first heat. As soon as her heat was over I had her spayed. You can do the same since you say she recently ended her first heat.
A puppy having a puppy often results in a lost litter and a very frustrated mother. Talk to your Vet about getting her spayed now unless you just don't see spaying as an option.
Spayed animals do not "lose" their personality or become problematic.

The nipples and vulva swell with each heat. Only time or the vet will tell for sure if she is pregnant.
