Well, I had to get my cat put to sleep a few weeks ago, and ever since then, I have been miserable. I am so used to seeing him downstairs, that I think that I keep seeing him jogging across the room, or just walking around everytime I come downstairs. And it's so vivid! Then, when I turn back around to look again, nothing is there. My dad says that's it something called "conditioned reasoning." It's like I can feel his presence....... But I think I am just getting really obsessed with him. I don't really think that they'res a possiblility that he's a "ghost" or anything, so you sure wont be picked as the best answer if you say that it is. Please, someone help me get over my obsession, and help explain to me what is going on with my brain! I swear that I can see him but I don't......I miss him sooooooooo much......... I'm just so used to seeing him there.......Please help?

I am not sure of the type, but he did not used to have the red spot on his shell. He likes the water alot, and spends alot of time in the water. I buy the calcium block things, but could his shell be getting "soft"? what should I do? (no he is not a painted turtle, just a weird red spot on top of green shell)could this be caused by a bad ligt bulb? WHAT?

for about 2 months my 7 yr old female cat's upper lip on the right side has been swollen and pink or red. I do not have the money to take her to the vet for another month or so, we just moved and my husband just started a new job. she is an indoor only cat. my neighbor's cat has a swollen lower-lip but the two have never been in contact... has anyone dealt with this befor and what was it? I will be taking my cat to the vet but since she appears otherwise healthy it will have to wait. thanks

It has come to my attention after reading the pet section on this site that a lot of people are asking medical questions.
To me it is common sense to take the poor thing to the vet. If you are asking because you can't afford a vet then you should not have pets in the first place.
If you can afford it then you are just being a tight **** or lazy, either way I can't help but think sometimes people should have a licience to keep pets.

She is a mixed breed, rather large dog )150+ mixed breed. She's bathed monthly, and Flea/tick meds are applied monthly, but these clumps of hair behind her ears are baffling. She is brushed frequently, she has a lot of hair. She has no other clumpy areas of hair on her body. These areas that are clumpy don't seem to bother her, and I am unable to brush them. They are not infected. They do not appear to be infested with anything either, however, they do not go away. I'm not sure when they actually appeared, it's been awhile. From what I've read, they aren't a problem, but, I'm not a vet. She is not due to go back to the vet til Dec., should I be concerned of these clumps of hair? Should I schedule a visit to the vet? Do you know of any otc medications I could apply to these areas? Any valid suggestions would be appreciated.

I just got a kitten, she's 5 months old. She likes to pick pieces of her poop from her litter box and play with it. Is this normal and how can I stop her from doing this?

Mines about nine months old and he's supposed to be eating veggies, but he's not eating any at all, only worms, not even crickets now.
Is this normal for a while? Or what can or should be done?

Would getting another cat help him to be more social? He never comes out when other people are around and I am the only person who has ever pet him. Vet says he's healthy, just very shy. Not sure if another cat would help or just serve to futher scare him. Any suggestions?

My Pit isn't fixed while my Basset is. He tries to "hump" him also. I clap my hands loudly and tell him no and he quiets but later that day he's back at it. My dogs have plenty of water and food. Please tell me why and what I can do to end it. No funny stuff please!
