Have your water tested at the local pet shop. It sounds like your pH is off ( they like it between pH 5.5-7.0). You may have to buy an additive.

It could be a number of things. Poor water conditions? Have you checked your ammonia, nitrate and pH levels? It could be velvet. Do they look like they're covered by a gold/rust mist under a flash light in a dark room? If so go to the local store and take a look at the backs of various ick/ich meds. (Most ich med will also cure velvet.) Also in the case of velvet just like ich 1 teaspoon of table salt should help.

They should not look cloudy in color. Sounds like they may possibly have body fungus.

are you feeding the right kind of food? they need special food. are you changing the water at least once a week.

Do you do regular water changes?? If so, do another one. If not start...right now.

they r sick and will probably die. fish are very hard to cure of anything. good luck
