I will always remember the dog I had as a child. Patch. He was always quite excitable and would run around barking like crazy every time somebody reached for his leash. Quite by accident one day - someone changed the channel on the TV to a program that was playing some traditional Indian music. The dog immediately lay down, rolled onto his back, with a strange look on his face and one ear perked, and went totally silent until he had listened to the whole song. Then he jumped up and started barking again when it was over. Maybe he had been Indian in a past life or something, but he seriously LOVED that music. We started regularly tuning into Indian radio stations on purpose after that, just to see his reaction. lol :-)

one in all my prominent musicians is pianist Bradley Joseph. He has traveled the international as featured keyboardist with Yanni and Sheena Easton. His solo paintings is spectacular and he has remixed a number of his music somewhat for pets. they are super and my canines somewhat like his DVDs for pets too.

It seems that nearly everywhere you go, you can observe people with I-Pods, cell phones that sing, and complex audio systems -- all designed to deliver us our favorite types of music. Well, birds like music too, and thanks to Petsmusic.com, they can now have their own album especially for them! The album, entitled "Lullabies for My Bird" is one of a series of records created especially for people's pampered pets. According to the company, the types of music included can go a long way toward easing stress and separation anxiety in companion animals. The albums include music from a variety of different genres, and a sample of the music is available at the Petsmusic.com website.

Tunes for Pets is a pet music product dedicated to providing soothing and relaxing music for pets and people too! The Tunes for Pets CD compilation has been created with independent music compositions from various independent artists from Long Island, NY as well as others across the country.
The Tunes For Pets music compilation CD is the brainchild of a group of music-loving pet owners in Long Island, New York whose day jobs run the gamut from business continuity planning to music education, performance and recording studio management. It all started one day in our office. We were playing some light jazz music in the background. Our two office mascots, Rusty and Frances (two very big Standard Poodles) were having quite a positive reaction to it. They seemed to be more relaxed and calm. Over the next few months, we observed their reactions to various types of music and it was concluded that soft, soothing music can be beneficial to a pet’s behavior. We also realized that we liked the music too. Our initial research showed that there were other CDs on the market for pets, but that they were very hard to listen to as these other compilations didn’t take into account that the pet owners would be listening to.
So began our journey into starting a new product line called “Tunes for Pets”. Our vision was to create a completely unique CD compilation solely of music provided by independent songwriters worldwide. It also had to include music that both pets and people would like to listen to. In seeking only independent songwriters we opened the door to very talented musicians, some of whom are also avid pet lovers. We received a tremendous response from around the globe and have had the luxury of choosing only those songs that met our criteria; soothing and relaxing music that pets and people would enjoy!
