She went into heat before I could get her fixed. She is so miserable. Is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable? Does the first heat last the longest?

ok, i took stalin out of his cage while milo the rat was on my lap, stalin being wierd wanted to see what it was, ans to my amazement, and almost horror, the rat started to lick and clean the hamster, and i pulled stalin off my lap the first time, and slowly brought him back, and he did it again, no biting and stalin didnt show any concern, it was the wierdest thing i have ever seen, my only answer is he must have thought the hamster was his cage mate and started to clean him like he normally does, only the thing that kills that idea is the scent isnt habib's, its stalin's. this also brought up one of those "id-never-do-it-but wonder-if" questions, can a hamster, dwarf and a tamed rat live in the same cage fightless?, like i said, id never do it, but i wonder, like can a playstation operate in a bathtub. also, can you overfeed a hamster/rat chewsticks? and why do they like them so much, do they taste like cookies, are they safe for people to eat one? lmao. why was he licking my ham?

so we ended up buying a male and female siberian husky. Then I did some reading and it said that these huskies don't bark much and can't really protect the house from thieves. They treat strangers almost like family.
Is This true?
We have had our house broken into before and thats why we wanted dogs.
Is their anything I can do to make these siberians more aggressive to strangers. I know I made a mistake for getting them but I just love how they look. I would like to know if theres a way I can make the huskies more effective at attacking thieves.

My dog loves the treats they make for dogs. I see they have a cat version. I know nothing about cats. I just know cats are totally different from dogs. I was wondering if they like the Greenies cat treats?

Does anyone have any input on that version for cats?

we,ve had the dog one week. He,s from a family who didnt have time for him and hardly ever let him out ( I,m begining to realise why. ) Hes not aggresive in fact hes passive to the point of wimpiness, hes so happy to make acquaintance with other dogs, but obviously goes about it in the wrong way as they all bite him. He also doesn,t bark, is that normal? Even the nicest natured dogs go for him - help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what can I do to.prevent this?????????????.................................

that whenever my cat gets out of the house, the first thing he does is flop on the ground and start rubbing and rolling himself all over the ground. What does this mean? He only does it when he goes outside. I know other cats do this too, it's not just mine. I was just wondering if anyone knows why they do this.

I was out walking in the country with my 5 year old grandson taking an interest in the wild flowers & floribunda etc ( as you do ) when out of the blue he asked "why is rabbits poo round instead of in a straight line ? " Try as I might I was unable to offer a plausable answer, I decided the answer must be on the net somewhere, but as yet, I have not been able to find it. I am hoping that someone who reads these pages could possible have the answer,
I appeal to you, dont let this young impressionable lad go through life not knowing the answer to this question, as well as thinking his grandad new nothing! Please help .
Thank You

I like the fact they have a small footprint and the extras are so easilly available in most pet shops these days.
However, I'm worried they wont be ideal for my fish.
I'd like to use it for my smaller fancy goldfish but I'm worried about the small surface area. Will they get enough oxygen? Are goldfish too dirty for such a compact tank? Has anyone successfully kept goldfish in a biorb? I'm pretty experienced with goldfish but only in big conventional tanks.
Thanks for any advice.

I want ideas for a natural habitat for my ball python. No plastic totes or hides. I want live plants (I'd go with fake if they looked okay) a new hide, and something bigger for her to climb on. Right now she has a fake stone cave that is getting a bit too small for her, an ugly plastic water bowl and a piece of driftwood to climb on. Very boring but not too bad I guess. I just want to liven it up a bit!

I will put them in my office, so I will buy a small tank. If these types wont fit in small tanks kindly suggest other types that will fit, but they should be colorful.
If there are any tips on how to raise them do not hesitate i am a starter :).

thanx
