Are you going dry or wet food?? I leave dry kitten food out all the time for them so they can nibble and give them a wet breakfast and a wet dinner. Get food specially formulated for the little guys!

Kittens have tiny stomachs so need several small meals a day - around 4 or 5 times should do it, or you can judge it yourself from when they ask for food (you'll come to know the signs!)
Feed them with specially formulated kitten food - it will contain the essential nutrients they need as they're growing. Most brands of kitten food should have a feeding guide on the packet as to how much to give them.

ittens need roughly twice the nutrients of adult cats, for both growth and energy. Obviously, their tummies cannot handle large quantities of food, so much like human babies they need frequent feedings at first, tapering off as they grow. It is important during this time to weigh the kittens regularly, to ensure they are gaining regularly, but not becoming overly fat. Their hunger will usually be a pretty good guideline for determining if they are getting enough nutrition. Note: These guidelines refer to feedings of canned food; dry food will be addressed later.

* At 6 Weeks: Four or more small feedings, spaced regularly throughout the day.
* 12 Weeks: Increase the amount of each meal, and gradually space them out to three meals a day.
* Around 6 Months:You may gradually space out the meals to twice daily.

Keep dry kitten food and fresh water available at all times; like human babies, kittens need to eat frequently, in small amounts. If the kittens are healthy, they will not become overweight.

I would say like 4 or 5 feedings throughout the day.

I would make dry food and water available ALL of the time. I would give the kitten wet kitten food (or KMR kitten milk replacement) 3-4 times per day, if it seems hungry. (Regular milk can give kitties the runs ... but you can get KMR at most major pet stores.)

purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

cats n kittens have an in build thing that doesn't let them eat too much, (unlike dogs) Their instinct tells them, as with litter training, so if you make sure they have plenty fresh milk and put a little food out, they will help theirselfs.just always make sure the bowl has a little fresh food and plenty milk or water.
