Are there any certain chemicals/salts you add to the water? What kind of fish do you have? Do you prefer to just let the water set out to dechlorinate it?

I have three established tanks, so I'm not looking for advice here. I'm just curious as to what YOU personally do to your water for your fish.

Does anyone know of a website where I can get a very large aquarium rock? Something in the area of 20 inches tall, 12 wide, and 18 long? Thanks!

I have always left my springer spaniel in a kennel and run in the garden when I go to work. A friend walks him while I'm out. He's always been very settled and happy in his run, but we moved house recently and now he howls and barks the whole time he's in there.

Its got to the stage where I hate having to leave him. Can anyone offer any advice or help. I'm a great believer in the Jan Fennell (the dog listener) methods of training, so any advice along these lines would be especially apprecciated

Thanks in advance

I found a stray puppy 2 wks ago and he is great except he gets excited and bites at our arms and hands. I don't want to take him to the animal shelter but it is hurting me and my kids when he does this

Lump seems to have just appeared. It is the size of a grapefruit. It is located on the right side of her spine just in front of her rear leg. She doesn't seem distressed. She is a mixed breed Aussie/McNabb, 10 years old.

I clean mine my taking the gravel cleaner thing and sucking up the poop and food and I keep doing that until I only have about 3.5 inches of water in my aquarium enough for my fish to swim around. And all the water is in this big bucket. I wait about an hour and all the poop and stuff are at the bottom I pour the water in and when the poop is about to come out I stop pour it down the toilet and put new water in and all the other chemicals.

I know people do it differently and this takes A LOT of time and if you have a different or faster or better way of doing it please share! I hate cleaning my fish tank this way! Thanks.

My husband and I are leaning towards getting them a kitten. I'm just not sure what I need to know or be concerned about. I'm afraid of getting them a kitten and then having lots of surprises and then wishing we did't get the kitten. Any advice would be appreciated.

I got a new 1-year-old cat today and for the past 6 hours she has been hiding behind the headboard of my bed, squeezed up against the wall. I wanted to give her some time to get adjusted so I just moved the bed to give her a little more room back there, but I had hoped she would have at least come out and poked around a little by now! Anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?

My cat and my dog get on very well, and overall, other cats and dogs near each other that I've seen, seem to get on pretty well. What's the deal with it?
