Drakie? I know it's more of a "dragon" type of thing, but "Drake the Snake" has a nice ring to it, I feel.
Some other names I suggest:
Cinna (Cinnamon - Cinna the Snake)
Sylvester (Stallone? Though his face isn't very "sweet"...hmm)
Spaghetti (Snakes look like spaghetti! And sometimes, the sauce is sweet. See, it's non-conformist, too. How many people do you know that have a snake called Spaghetti?)
Have fun with your new scaly pal, and I hope you find a good name for him <3

Not much to go on, but when I was younger I had a snake and named him BC....I just loved that name.
I don't know if you ever read the funnys, but there's actually one called that. And there was a funny little snake in it always making wise cracks. Plus the whole dinosaur thing fits snakes personalities.
Good luck...

Well,a good snake name is something that fits him. I named one of my lizards Buddaya because I liked it. I think a good and unusual name is Othneal or Leeda.
