I'm looking for a nice daybed for my room. I looked at PBteen, but they're too high for me.
Maybe a daybed under $900, if possible.

We are building a home and want a mirrored backsplash in the kitchen. My cabinets are dark brown. Has anyone seen the mirrored bronze (copper) backspash? I am debating if I should pick that color or just a plain mirror. The grey smoked color doesn't look right.

We'd like to finish off the lower level of the house and make it into a gaming/media room. The floor is concrete (in good shape overall) and we want to lay down commerical tile (that icky stuff you see in hospitals, etc.), then probably a rug. Should we paint the floor first, or lay tiling directly on the concrete?

I live in a Victorian terrace and the stairs are not very wide; I'm wondering if a runner would look okay. I have been on some websites and the runners looks lovely but also expensive, especially the hardware. What is best to fit on the runner, rods or clips. Also, I live in a small town and am finding it difficult to locate carpet people to do the job, most are trying to talk me into regular stair carpet. What are the pros and cons of runners?

What caused this? I've tryed everything to remove the yellowing. The vinyl flooring is white and I even tryed bleaching the area. Any suggestions or ideas? We have to keep the rugs over the area now just to hide the ugly yellowing.

My bathroom has very ugly, but quite new (from previous owner) tiling in mustard yellow with navy trim. We can't really justify the expense of removing and replacing them as they cover a lot of the bathroom walls, but having tried 2 yellows, a pale orange and a pale grey paint on the wall I just can't see that any colour other than white will go with it. I hate white paint. Please could you give me some inspiration. Our floor is slate tiling with an orangey/ mustard/ terracota vein through it

I am hopefully buying an apartment, one of the rooms is a single bedroom so having a double bed, wardrobes, cabinets ect would cause a problem with space. I was thinking, I want a bed that comes off the floor by about 6 feet so I can put these underneath...obviously would get some ladders for this but do these type of beds exist? Kinda like a single bunk bed, but the bed would be a double!

I hate my living room mahogany window frames. They suck the light out of the room. I'd rather not do a poor job of painting them. Is there a sort of PVC fascia available instead?
