I have a WWI metal army trunk, 30"x15"x12".
It is bronze colored, with gold latches and leather straps. Other than a coffee table, any ideas for incorporating it into my decor?

I bought interior paint about a year to a year and a half ago, intending to piant my living room, and never got around to it! Now that spring is here again, i've got the fever to do some home improvements. Do you know if the paint is still 'viable' enough to use? It has remained sealed, kept at room temp, and is a good brand name- Dutch Boy. I'm hoping all these factors will work in my favor! :) I'd hate to go out and buy 4 new cans! Thanks!

We're thinking about getting kids beds from Ashley, but wondering how their sales work? Are they the kind of place where something is always on sale, and rarely not. So if you get it when its not on sale, do you really overpay. The beds we want, currently arent, so wondering if we should wait around. Or if they rarely have sales?

We just painted our living room wall and my husband wanted to paint it to where about the bottom third was one color and the top two-thirds was another. Then in the middle will be... a seperator? I don't know what it's called. My husband said it will be about a 3 1/2" long piece of a wooden or solid surface material right where the colors meet. Does anyone know what the correct terminology is for this strip of material that seperates the paint colors? Someone suggested "wainescoting" but that doesn't seem to be it either as wainscoting appears to be paneling for the whole bottom portion not just a thin 3 1/2" strip across the middle....

The doors I have are really old (70's) but a hideous colour. Can't afford to re-fit and the units are not a standard size, so I can't just buy new doors. I want to paint them red and white.

We have an old hot tub that needs replaced badly, but that is in next years budget. We are wanting to make it look nice for this last season. I do not want to spend $85.00 on a paint to refinish it. Has anyone used Krylon Fusion on a hot tub or even bath tub before? Did it work? What are my other "Wal-Mart" options for the refinish?

I just bought a condo and if Im going to sell it in about 5 years, should I include the fridge I bought with it? Or should I just take the fridge that I bought and move on? We are talking about a fridge that costs over $1000.

I need some ideas to decorate my room. I am a 14 year old girl w/ a small room, about 10X10 ft. I had some ideas-- I wanted to do a real, fun, bright, room. But i also wanted to do a french-chic room-- black pumps as hooks, lilac walls, white down comforter, black vanity, etc. But i also wanted to do a real relaxing one, like a lilac or lite grn with plants. I don't know what to doooo!!!! See, I'm a really fun, bubbly person who loves to laugh, and loves happy colors. But sometimes I get really stressed and just want a place to relax. This needs to be CHEAP! I need some cheap, DIY designer worthy ideas!!! Oh- my friend had a really cool room, it was like royal purple, and w/ a tulle canopy, and royal purple bedspread, etc. I need something CHEAP, FUN, AND I CAN RELAX IN. THANKS SO MUCH

I have a passion with designs, fashion, interior, and graphic. Yet, I don't have any money so I should go for something like nursing. But, I am not passionate about it. Though I am creative yet studious and young so I afford the years to do both. I don't know if I should major into Nursing or both. So during college, I don't know if I should get an internship in design or nursing. both are competitive, but I'm afraid of making a bad decision. I need someone to advise me on a plan I can take to become sucessful. If someone can give me a good picture of what I can possibly do and elaborate on it, that'll be great.
