On doors in the kitchen, I use a high gloss laytex enamel. It is a super tough coating that will take many cleanings. It also releases cooking greases more easily than most other finishes.

Any DIY shop worth its salt will stock a good range of special paints for doing kitchen unit doors. I know that Homebase do them and I'm sure I've also seen them in B&Q

Give them a good clean with sugar soap to get rid of any grease. Apply Eggshell paint in desired colour (would recommend dulux trade ) If in doubt get a good decorator in!

you can get red and white striped paint from the candy store ..I'm sure your kitchen is going to look really lovely ..Friends and visitors will be amazed how clever you are to think of such an original design....and when you go to sell the old place ..im sure you will get a premium price for your originality.....if you get some more ideas like this in the future be sure to let us all know ..in the meantime ..go and have a laydown
