Sure Can , I did it in my bathroom when i built it :)
Works perfectly. Keep in mind though the fan goes directly outside .

You probably can, but there are vertical fixtures for through the wall ventilation.

it should be fine as long as you keep the hole near center. the 3" hole would be fine. yes they do make a cap for the end.
