I just bought a condo and if Im going to sell it in about 5 years, should I include the fridge I bought with it? Or should I just take the fridge that I bought and move on? We are talking about a fridge that costs over $1000.

It depends if your new place has a fridge or not. Will it fit in your new place? I have two in my home one in the garage to hold beer, soft drinks, water and frozen food. Its very convenientaround the holidays too. Good luck,

What's a thousand dollar fridge when you're probably going to ask over 200k for your condo? Most people who are buying, especially first timers, need appliances. I sold my place in hawaii with all appliances, including washer, dryer, and a second fridge in the garage, as well as SbS in the kitchen.

One has to consider the market when selling. Every little thing helps entice a buyer.

Usually people include that with the sale, especially if it fits all the other appliances in the kitchen as well. You can use it as a bargaining point in your contract, but considering what is happening in the housing market, you may want to think twice. Besides, it will be 5 years older and you have to account for depreciation.

I would say "yes" to including it IF it fits in with other appliances in the room and you are planning on leaving them as well. If they are mix-matched (or miss-matched LOL) something will likely be replaced anyway by a new buyer...Matching appliances sold with the condo could be just what you need to push a buy over the edge.

If I were you, I would take your fridge and move on. Think about it, If i were the next tenant...I wouldn't want to use someone else's appliances. Who knows what's been in it.. if it smells...etc. These days, it's common for ppl to move into new places without the fridge and stove.

I doubt it will make a difference. Buy a good , used second - hand fridge, and put it in before you leave. You can get really good deals all the time from garage sales, and individuals moving.
