My hardwood plank flooring is a about 15 years ols, the finish is fair, slitghtly scratchy and dull in some areas, and very creaky and there are obvious loose plangs and otheres that appear to have not seal between it and the next one. What can I do to make my floor look good again. And is it expensive?

ok ok ok...... let me start from the TOP! Its just my husband and I, no kids.... no animals.. (besides my husband, haha) j/k. AND! i'm looking to buy a washer and dryer. We do have good credit and i want to spend LESS then 1000. i dont need a new one. just.... that they need to be front load so they can stack on each other (i live in apartments) i dont want the one that come already stacked, just in case my husband and i were to move to an apt where the washer and dryer are side by side.

Are there any tips or important things i should know about buying a washer and dryer. Remember its just me and him. we are only 21 and we dont need much.

AND! should i do credit or save the money?

Last night I noticed this weird sound coming from behind the wall in the bathroom.(we have 2 bathrooms, and they are both on the same wall). It seems to be closer to the showers than the toilets or sinks. It is this weird clink-clinkety clink-clink-clink sound, and it's not consistent like dripping water or something. I have a feeling it's something to do with the plumbing...any idea what this could be before I call the plumber? It almost sounds like a little critter or something was living in the pipes, but I know that's not the case. Any ideas???

I'm talking about 6 ft cedar pickets with 3 rail backing vs. the 3 rail split rail (4-5 ft high/whatever is standard). There will need to be two gates. I'm not needing accurate price points but comparative ratios.

The drain covers have a down facing cup underneath a round disc with drain holes covering the drain. I want to know if I can drain my washing maching into this. If it does not drain into the sewer where would it possibly go? The house was built in 1879 and it has city sewer. I don't want to cause a problem with the lint...Thanks in advance...

I am concerned about the weight of the tub with water and a person in it, breaking the tile.
Are there any precautions that could be taken?

I am looking for a gold sun shaped mirror. I found one that I like the shape of on ebay , but the color is horrible. I'd just paint it if I knew it would stick and wouldn't peel off. Has anyone done this?

I have a tree that has sprouted up, the odd thing is it seems to have 3 different kinds of leaves on it right now. One kind is tear drop shaped, there are very few of those. The smaller leaves have 9 lobes off of the central vein. The larger leaves have 5 or 7 lobes off of the central vein. All are dark green, slightly lighter on the underside. The leaves alternate on the branches, and there are no thorns. The tree is very young, largest part is maybe 2 inches in diameter, and the bark is smooth. Wish I could post a picture of the leaves, I scanned them just in case...

I have a new home and my toilet's handle worked perfectly fine up until now. Right now, my toilet's handle is really stiff, so I either have to push on it really hard, or I have to lift up the lid and flush it manually. Tips and advice would be appreciated.

I tried to grind them in a coffee-mill and a pepper-mill, but neither had results. they are too soft and light to sit on the bottom and get crashed by the mill's grinder. any other options by someone who's actually made it?

The plant stands about 1.2m high and has a broad leaf at the end of two thick stems. One of the stems is directly growing out of the base of the other, very close to the ground. During the night, the plant emits water from its leafs.
I have no clue on any common names.

I moved into my current apartment in May and just last week saw a very large mouse in my laundry room. I immediately closed the door and placed cardboard across the bottom. I had two bags of garbage stored there for collection day that I removed. I went out and bought several "snap" mouse traps and placed them throughout my apartment. A couple of days later I walked into my kitchen and the mouse was on my stove and it dove under one of the burners. I covered the burners with aluminum cake pans and weighed them down with pots and pans (this morning, almost a week later, I finally got the nerve to check the stove and found nothing). I bought 16 more traps - the sticky kind - and placed them throughout my apartment with a big glob of peanut butter on each one. I work night shift and when I leave in the evening I turn the lights in my apartment off to try to draw the mouse out. Since the day I saw the mouse on my stove I haven't seen any sign of it and the traps remain untouched. I plan on keeping the baited traps down for about another week after which I will just leave them unbaited. No matter what, I will keep some traps down from now on. I have never lived anywhere that's had a mouse before, so this is a new (and very unpleasant) experience. My apartment is clean, but I am being extra careful to keep all my used dishes washed, garbage is always keep in a garbage can with a lid and my pantry is a free-standing unit away from the other kitchen cupboards. What I would like to know is can anyone who has been in this situation offer any other advice or suggestions as to what I can do to deal with this, and most importantly, after how long of not seeing the mouse (or signs of) can I start to relax and assume that it's either gone or caught by one of the other tenants? Thanks for any answers provided.

My mom won't buy any water and the only water that she wants to use is tap water, and it hasn't rained for days, so I can't collect any water.
What should I do?
My mom is really mad at me because of this, so she's not gonna buy anything.
Really, WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!?!?!?!
