The grape vine is positively laden with grapes but they remain small, abot the size of a current. They cannot be eaten and its clear they are not fully developed although when squashed they are juicy.

I have heard that to get variegated sansevierias, some used giberrellic acid or ethyl methane sulfonate (EMS) in treating the leaves of the plant before subjecting the leaves to irradiation treatment. Is this true? What is the concentration of the solution and the strength of radiation needed in gamma ray units?

hi i have just purchased my own home with does not have any gas central heating, there is a open front coal fire that warms the house and radiators. being only 25 i have never had any experience with a coal fire so am looking for advice. inside the fire above where the coal goes there is a latch that you can pull towards you or push away from you. it appears to open a gap above the fire going up the chimney. what is the purpose of this? also there is an electrical switch on the side of the wall next to the fire. what is this for? any help would be great. its gonna be a cold winter

My fraternity moved into a new house and we want to soundproof it so we don't disturb the neighbors.

Are there any cheap or common items we can use? We don't care what our walls and windows look like, just as long as guests enjoy our parties and the neighbors stay happy.

It's in SE England and has been pretty well maintained. I've grown herbs and veggies in pots on the balcony, but this is the first time I've had actual land to grow on! I'm really excited, but don't know where to begin...

I need websites with ideas to decorate rooms (all rooms, not just bedrooms). Also, with do it yourself projects for your room.

Thanks :]

Location of stores and websites will be a great help to me. Also I would like to find out where some big thick white candles can be purchased but at a cheap price. Only serious responses will do.

I own a complete, 124 piece collection of flatware. It is mostly silver plate (94 pieces) with some stainless steel knives (30 pieces) (white handles ivory ?). It has never been used and was a wedding present to my parents in 1933. It is in its original wooden chest.

The brand name is "Carlton Cutlery, Sheffield" The stainless steel is marked "Firth-Brearley" and the silver plate is marked "EPNS" "A1"

i am going to be insulating the bedroom wall of my condo. i am wondering if i should simply add on to the existing wall or build a new wall parallel to it. if i build onto the wall, i will have foam between the wall and the new 2x4 frame and drywall. if i float the wall, i will leave about 6 inches between both, place foam between the 2x4 frame of the floating wall, and finish both sides of it with drywall.

which method would be the best? also, what other tips can you offer in regards to really blocking sound from my neighbor's bedroom?

I've been wanting to get a Venus fly trap for a week or so now and I have been doing some reading but I still have a few unanswered question.

1. How do I go about feeding it? Just let the bugs fly around in the terrarium until it lands on the plant or drop it in the trap?

2. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and I read that if you live in a colder climate you can just put the plant near a window sill for the dormant season. Is this a good idea? If so do I take it out of the terrarium or leave it in? If it's not a good idea what is?

3. Do i feed during dormant season?

4. How much do I water it?

I was also thinking of a 2 L pop bottle for a terrarium do these work?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWERS!!

i'm adding onto our house. right now, we have a 2.5 ton trane WCH030C100A 13.5 seer unit. it is only 1 yr old. after the addition, the area to be cooled in our house will be 1140 sq. ft. (excluding closets and laundry rm). the main part of the house is block construction, and the addition will be 2x6. we are getting energy efficient windows installed throughout the house, and re-insulating the attic (fiberglass R-30). we live in phoenix, arizona (hot and dry). no flat-roofs, so there is an attic over every room. will our current unit be okay with an addition?
