how do i replace gas mantels on a outdoor lamp post?

Same way you do on a Coleman camp lantern. Read the directions on the mantle package. Do not touch the mantle after it has burned or you will be replacing it again.

Remove the old one.

Tie the new one on with the thread sewn into the top with a square knot.

they old one will be easy to remove as it will just crumble away.
replace with new mantle and tie round gas outlet.
light immediately to burn in new mantle.
