wash and dry......?

ok ok ok...... let me start from the TOP! Its just my husband and I, no kids.... no animals.. (besides my husband, haha) j/k. AND! i'm looking to buy a washer and dryer. We do have good credit and i want to spend LESS then 1000. i dont need a new one. just.... that they need to be front load so they can stack on each other (i live in apartments) i dont want the one that come already stacked, just in case my husband and i were to move to an apt where the washer and dryer are side by side.

Are there any tips or important things i should know about buying a washer and dryer. Remember its just me and him. we are only 21 and we dont need much.

AND! should i do credit or save the money?

I would use the cash to buy a stack-able pair available at Sears and most home centers. At last check they were less than the $1000.00 you have allocated for the purchase. The prestacked ones that you don't want are convenient and look good but are rather small. They are also rather expensive to repair.

You can get an apartment sized washer and dryer that is narrow and already stacked. As a matter of fact I think there is a new product on the market that is a washer and dryer in one too, but I'd bet it is pricey.

Single unit washer/dryer: It washes and then dries. Perfect if you only do one load at a time. Not good for multiple loads.

I'd save the money. It's rediculous to pay 20% extra for something. If you purchase a $1000.00 unit, that would be an extra $200. Just not worth it. Anyhow, that's just me.
