Hi there.. I need some advice with colors that I should be picking for my living/dinning area. I am planning to give a traditional look.
Color of walls: Off-white
Floor: Tiled and off-white
Color of Sofa: Beige microfibre
Color of Center Area Rug:Traditional design with Red-Beige-Green
Dinning Table: Traditional design w/ rust metal
End/Center Tables: Mahogony wood & rust metal.

There are 4 very large windows in the combined living/dinning area of my house and colors picked will play a major role in defining the room and moods. So I am highly confused about picking the curtain color. I feel dark shades will make the room look small and i am not sure about lighter shaded curtains as everything else has light shades. If there are websites which could be of help, please post them as well. Any sort of advice will be highly appreciated.

The bed is a sleigh bed and the swirls in the ends have been carved into the finish. The dust settled into those areas, as well as the grain of the furniture. I'm guessing that I will need to use a toothbrush and some form of cleaning paste. But, I have no idea what I should try. I would be really upset if I hurt my furniture...

While searching for a house,is it really best to use a realtor?Could it be just as easy to contact the selling agent and eliminate one more person that is looking to make some cash on the sale?We were real interested in buying a house, but we are unsure if we got played around with. The agent selling the house and the realtor we were using are from the same company. We were told that the bank would have to approve of any offer, and that the bank would not budge more than $500 on the price of the house. What makes it even more interesting, the bank did not own the property,it had not been foreclosed on.The house had been on the market for almost a full year.RIght after we said we were interested, all of the sudden, offers "started streaming" in on the house. We looked at it again, wanted to make an offer, and the realtor said it was to low, that the bank had not accepted an offer $5000 to $6000 lower than the asking price. Not a week later, the house was off the market. Were we toyed with?

I think they do but I had someone tell me they don't...that it's not the jeans shrinking, it's the person in the jeans growing...how nice, huh?

I just finished my weekend house cleaning chores, ok I didn’t finnish, but they’re never finished.
I feel compelled to stop and say one thing, I’m strait, meaning I like girls, I like girls allot!
But I have two questions.
1) Is the Swiffer the single most important invention since sliced bread or what?
2) does anyone other than me use both sides of the Swiffer pads, I’m a notorious cheapskate so I do, does anyone else?

I have planted 4 herbs in 4 separate pots (chia brand). All the other 3 are doing great, and my cilantro was doing just fine too, until today! Today, my cilantro is all drooping over the edge. There was this one weed sticking straight up in the middle, which looked like a blade of grass. I pulled it out, and then I remembered that when I planted it, there was this one seed that didn't look like the rest. That must have been the weed. Did this thing hurt my cilantro? How can I save it?
I gave it some plant food.

Both white leather & different color shoes. With the white, is it okay to put them in the washer with bleach? With the others wash like you would your clothes? I have a bleach pen but it doesn't do the job in some spots.

I know that you should not have your front door and back door lined up to allow good chi to come in the front and right back out. I have just purchased a house and my front door is in direct line with my patio door at the other end. Major renovations are not an option right now so how can I protect myself and what can I put in place to stop the flow of chi escaping through my back door. Thank you for your time.

How can I do this without drilling holes in the door?

Is there some kind of adhesive door handle available that would just stick onto the garage door like the common adhesive hooks many people have to hang things on in their homes?

Yes, you hear and read sometimes about Feng Shui, and how they claim rearranging/redecorating according to Feng Shui techniques can harmonize your surroundings; create balance, growth, health/wealth,ect.
Have you ever had this done in your home &/or office and did you actually really experience a difference on ANY level besides the mere fact that it was simply rearranged??
If so, can u tell me a little about ur experience please?
(was thinking of having this done)
thx
