I have planted 4 herbs in 4 separate pots (chia brand). All the other 3 are doing great, and my cilantro was doing just fine too, until today! Today, my cilantro is all drooping over the edge. There was this one weed sticking straight up in the middle, which looked like a blade of grass. I pulled it out, and then I remembered that when I planted it, there was this one seed that didn't look like the rest. That must have been the weed. Did this thing hurt my cilantro? How can I save it?
I gave it some plant food.

Heron:

You don't say whether the plant was drooping AFTER you gave it the plant food or before . . . but, that isn't the major issue. Many times new seedlings can droop from "damping off", a major problem with seedlings. Another reason for drooping can be over-watering. Back to the plant food, if you didn't water BEFORE you used the plant food solution, you might have burnt the seedlings from "overdosing" with the minerals and such in the plant food. I'm not really sure you can "save" your seedlings at this time . . . just be sure not to overwater from here on, and watch them closely for the next few days. If they continue to decline or perish, simply buy a new pack of seeds for between $.10 and $1.00. Failure of 1 of 4 pots of seedlings is not a bad success rate, and you can always get new cilantro seedlings inexpensively!
