I can't get a good picture to show, but I'll describe it.
The plant itself looks like a weed that you'd pull up, and grows on multiple stalks from the base root. The stalks will get to be about 3 feet high before it starts showing buds. The blooms themselves are star shaped and a pale yellow. They will only open after full dark, and close before sun-up. They will bloom until about late August, then will dry up.
As I have been told, my friend's father brought one from "home" (Eastern Kentucky) as a transplant. They multiply, but it's obvious that it's not by root, and must be by seed, although seeds are not visible on the plant. One planted the first year will yield about 4-5 the next year. They are easily transplanted in the spring.
They don't have any scent, to speak of.
Thanks for any info.
